Today we're taking a look at the Thule Xadapt3 Load Bar Adapter Kit. Now this kit allows you to mount a Hullaport Kayak Carrier onto the Thule Exporter height adjustable load bar. So those load bars are a little bit thicker than standard aero blade or aero boars and so that's why this kit comes with the longer bolts. It's also designed to fit the Thule Cascades Ski Cargo Box. The adapter kit comes with eight bolts and the bolt size is M6 X 80 mm.That's going to do it for today's look at the Thule Xadapt3 Load Bar Adapter Kit.
What can I say. Needed same sort of bolt only longer so it would accommodate a new & improved roof rack bar. Cleverly designed so you couldn’t just go to the local hardware store and…. Or specialty fastener store for that matter. Bottom line it secured my ‘J’s’ to the bar. Thinking of ordering another set. Any ‘deals’ for a return customer?
These bolts fit perfectly and now I can carry my kayak on my Sylvan Sport Go with my Thule carrier (from circa 2006).
These were exactly what I needed to attach my older kayak racks to my new crossbars!
Switched from square bars on my old cars to the evo bars- these are perfect to adapt my old hull-a-port pro kayak racks to fit the evo bars.
The screws were of right length and thread. Unfortunately...and it is not depicted in video...Square lock under the bolt head was of the wrong size.
original is a 7mm square, new bolt is a 5mm square. screw will rotate when tightening in the Thule.
Exactly what I needed for my Thule Hull-A-Port Pro Kayak carrier. These bolts allowed me to assemble the kayak J-Hook carriers onto the crossbars of my kayak trailer. Perfect fit.
These were exactly as described and solved the problem we were having trying to get our Hullaport to fit the rack on my Audi Q3. Now the Hulaport mounts on the rack with no problem at all! Excellant service and fast shipping.
I purchased the THXADAPT3 to be able to install my Thule 834 hull a port kayak rack onto the 1.5" square bar of my Adarac Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack - Steel with Aluminum Crossbars.
I believe it will work but I wish the bolts were a bit longer. See images.

These bolts solved the issue when there was limited thread engagement on original bolts assembling hullaport kayak carriers on aeroblade bars. I've made many trips to the water without needing to worry a nut might vibrate off. Fits nicely, performs well. Would have been hard to find elsewhere.
The metric carriage bolts we ordered for our Thule kayak racks were not available elsewhere, and the quick service was welcome since we are ready to hit the waterways.
I ordered Thule adapter bolts and was surprised at how quickly they arrived. I had intended to purchase them directly from Thule but their minimum shipping cost was [...] and their website indicated that the item "should" ship within 5 days.

I had trouble finding carriage bolts that would work for my Thule kayak cradle on Amazon and many other popular sites. After toying with search key words in Google, I finally stumbled upon eTrailer's link to these 80mm carriage bolts. Their product selection made it a simple choice as to where I would make my purchase. The bolts needed to be of a m6 diameter, which is extremely difficult to find in traditional brick and mortar stores. After receiving the product and using them on my kayak cradle, I find them to be a perfect fit for my needs and feel extremely comfortable with them to hold my equipment steady.

Not even close to fitting on the xsporter.. inch easily to short…had to go get longer bolts at the hardware store
These lag bolts work great just long enough for them to fit my Thule Kayak carrier.

I needed longer bolts to mount my Thule Summit on my VW Touareg. The OEM bars are very thick and the standard bolts are too short. These 80mm extended length bolts are the perfect solution.
Exactly what I was looking for to place my kayak racks on my vehicle. The previous bolts were too short to use on my current crossbars. This fixed that problem inexpensively.
Perfect length for the new Thuly thicker cross bars.
