I have a Truxedo Elevate rack system 1118570 and Thule Hull-A-Port XT 848 kayak holders. I was told they would work together and the grippers arent big enough. Is there an adapter?

Since the Truxedo Elevate ladder rack # TX84NV that you have has top channels the adapter you'd need for the Hullaport XT # TH848 is the Xadapt part # THXADAPT3 which allows you to utilize the load bar's top channel for attachment.
