Question:

Is the Thule Compass Kayak and carrier with tie downs the best options for carrying 2 Kayaks on 2020 Honda Fit. It has Thule Wingbar EVO crossbars on it now with clamps and fit kit. I have an older Thule J-style carrier but the clamps are not big enough to get around the aerobar without longer bolts or bigger clamps and Im worried about it being secure or safe if I modify it.

The Thule Compass Kayak and SUP Carrier # TH890000 is a great fit for your 2020 Honda Fit. It has a wide mouth to make it easier for loading kayaks. It also has nice adjustability like J-style for one kayak or post-style for two kayaks. I attached a screenshot where Thule gives instructions for installing it on your Thule Wingbar EVO crossbars. You need to use the 80mm bolts included with this carrier to install it onto your bars.

For your older kayak carrier like the Thule Hull-A-Port J-style Carrier # TH834, check if it's compatible with the Watersport Adapter for Aeroblade or Wingbar EVO crossbars # THXADAPT11. This allows the Hull-A-Port to be mounted onto the T-track system since its clamps are not wide enough to go around the bars. Another option, depending on your carrier, is to use 80mm bolts like # THXADAPT3. If you can tell me exactly which carrier you have, or send me pictures of it, I can make sure you get the correct Xadapter is it's available.
