Features to know about

Made for a Clean Front End: Hidden Brackets with Removable Arms

When you’re not towing, the front end stays clean and uncluttered. The brackets sit farther back than standard designs, so once the drawbars are removed, they’re virtually invisible. No crossbar sticks out, and the setup looks factory fresh while keeping the mounting points protected inside the grille area.

Quick Hookups Every Time: Twist-Lock Arms with Built-In Pull Rings

Connecting is simple and doesn’t take an extra set of hands. Each arm slides into the bracket, twists to lock in place, and clicks securely with no tools needed. When it’s time to disconnect, you just pull the built-in ring to unlock and twist the arm free. This design makes setting up or breaking down fast and straightforward whether you’re home or on the road.

Strong and Reliable: All-Steel, Computer-Cut Construction

The heavy-duty steel construction gives this base plate kit real staying power. Each bracket is computer-cut for precision fitment and rigidity, helping spread towing forces evenly along the frame. The black powder coat finish fights corrosion and keeps everything looking sharp even after thousands of miles of highway grime.

Straightforward Installation: Bolt-On Design with Included Hardware

This system bolts directly to the vehicle’s frame—no welding required. The kit comes with all hardware and instructions for a clean install. Reviewers note you may need to drill or trim thick steel bumper plates during installation, so plan ahead with proper metal-cutting tools for a smooth job start to finish.

Built for Roadmaster Tow Bars: Direct-Connect Convenience

Designed specifically for Roadmaster motor-home-mounted tow bars that slide into a trailer hitch—like the Nighthawk, Sterling, Blackhawk, Blackhawk 2, Falcon, or Falcon 2—this base plate eliminates the need for a quick-disconnect crossbar. The result is a simpler, more streamlined hookup every time you tow.

Looks great and was relatively easy to install. From beginning to end about 5 hours but I did do it by myself so this slowed me down a bit.

Great product. Fit like a glove

by:

Very good service from trailer! Kimberly O was outstanding with her knowledge about products. The Roadmaster base plate was expertly made. There were a few minor deviations from the Roadmaster instructions which were clarified with a call to Roadmaster tech help.

by:

Very easy to install. Drop the skid plate, take off the tow hooks, install the tow brackets. The bolts are a little tricky, have patience! About a 2hr job. Not cutting of anything.

by:

Base plate kit was a direct bolt to my 2024 Bronco Raptor. I was hesitant at first cutting the factory bumper. I read thru the instructions a few times and watching the install video to gain confidence and understand why. Job took me less than an hour and a Sunday afternoon. Reading the instructions and watching the video took a bit longer!

I had roadmaster design and build my 1st base plates for my 2021 bronco, this set was very easy to install and did not take, just myself, about a half day to instlall.I really like this set.

i have only towed this vehicle once, but they were easy to install and will do very nice if and when i tow the vehicle.

by:

Great looking product and super quick arrival. Planning the install going as easy as the first time (damaged and had to replace due to a palm tree jumping in our way.

by:

The biggest aspect of installing these was the need to cut 2.5" x 4" from the existing front bumper mounting plates. It is a necessary step and actually is outlined in the instructions. But the instructions need to indicate that the steel plate is 3/16" thick. So unless your workshop has metal fab tools, you will have a very tough time cutting this metal from the front bumper mounting plate. Also, the need to enlarge a 7/16" hole to 9/16" in the frame has a similar story. You need a 9/16" carbide tip drill bit or a carbide reaming tool. This size drill bit (in carbide) is somewhat unique for a DIY guy. ANd even a heavy duty carbide reamer is not a common tool. So while I know the instructions say "Please consider professional installation", the instructions really should indicate you're going to be cutting hardened steel so you can decide if you have the right tools or can have them in hand prior to starting this project. Overall, the base plate kit will be a good solution for flat towing and is well-built with a solid mounting. But it takes a bit to install it in terms of proper tools.

While the install was a bit of some work, the base plates work great and are rock solid on the Bronco frame. All good.

  • Recommended Tow Bar to Upgrade and Replace a RoadMaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar
Hey Randy, congrats on the new Bronco. You're definitely going to need to jump up to a heavy rated tow bar. Like you said the Roadmaster Falcon 2 item # RM-520 tops out at 6,000 lbs and your Bronco's already over that sitting there empty. I recommend the Roadmaster Falcon 3HD Tow Bar item # RM27NQ. It's got the same style fittings but boasts a larger 10,000 lbs capacity. It's been upgraded with stainless steel inner arms and the new non-binding Freedom Latch locking mechanisms will last...

  • Flat Tow Setup for 2025 Bronco with the Least Amount of Modifcation
Hey there, I completely understand wanting to keep your new Bronco as clean and unmodified as possible while still getting a solid flat tow setup. For a 2025 Bronco with the capable bumper, the best confirmed base plate option is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect kit, part # RM92ZR. This is designed to work with that bumper, but I do want to be upfront that there will still be some light modification involved. You’ll need to trim a small section of the bumper and drill a few holes for the...

  • Tow Bar Lighting Kit Recommendation for 2024 Ford Bronco Raptor
Hey Marc, you are off to a great start with the part numbers # SM99209, # SM99945, and # RM92ZR. For lighting I would recommend the Roadmaster part number # RM-15267 which comes with diodes to wire into your taillight wires to activate the taillights as well as the umbilical cable to go from the rear of the motorhome to the front of the towed vehicle.

The Second Vehicle Kit item # SM99209 does not come with the coach link transmitter. You'll need to purchase it separately with the Demco Wireless Coachlink Braking Monitor item # SM99945. As far as a high low adapter goes, that's going to require you to take a couple of measurements. In order to be considered level your RV's hitch has to be within 3" up or down to the base plates on your 2024 Bronco Wildtrack. • Flat Towing a 2026 Ford Bronco Badlands Behind a 2019 Newmar Dutch Star
Hi Rick, congratulations on the new Bronco! That's going to make an awesome vehicle to have behind your Dutch Star. As for your question, the information about pulling fuses is close, but it's actually fuses 28 and 29 that Ford requires on the 2025 and newer Broncos when you're using a supplemental braking system. Those are the two 60 amp fuses that power the Electronic Brake Booster, not the ABS system. The reason they need to be removed is to keep the brake booster from waking up while...

  • Recommended Tow Bar Wiring Kit For Flat Towing A 2024 Ford Bronco
Hey Gary, For the wiring you'll need the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267. This will transfer your motorhome's traffic signals to the tail lights of your Bronco. If you find that you have variable voltage tail lights (one wire used for the signals instead of separate wires) then you'll need part # RM38FR for LED lights or # RM26FR for incandescent. • Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2025 Ford Bronco Badlands
Hey Bill, for the 2025 Ford Bronco the bumper type you go with will determine which Roadmaster base plate kit you'll need. If you go with the standard bumper you would need the part # RM79RR or if you go with the Modular bumper you would want the part # RM92ZR. The only issue with Roadmaster setups is there isn't a tow bar that fits your 2-1/2 inch hitch size so if you'd be open to a Blue Ox setup you could use the part # BLU78QV and a Blue Ox base plate kit # BLU23XR which actually fits...
