Question:
Looking to flat tow a ‘23 Bronco Badlands with capable bumper not modular, not plastic behind class A motorhome. What base plate options do you have? All I see is for modular or plastic Prefer not to modify bumper if at all possible. Also, considering possibly lifting the bronco 2-3 inches in the future. Would the base plate options you recommend change at all?

Expert Reply:
The recommendation would not change because the base plates install in the same location on both the modular and capable bumpers. Same with a potential lift. Something like that would be addressed down the road with a high low adapter if necessary.
To flat tow your 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with a capable bumper you will need the follow parts:
Tow Bar and Safety Chains - Roadmaster Falcon 2 Tow Bar item # RM-520 and item # RM-643
Base Plate Kit - Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit - Removable Arms item # RM92ZR
Wiring Harness - Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit item # RM-15267. This diode kit will splice into your tail light wiring to display the signals from your motorhome through the tail lights of your Bronco. If you have LED's then you'll want to use item # RM38FR instead.
Charge Line Kit - Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit item # RM-156-25
Supplemental Braking System - SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System item # SM99251 or item # SM99243 if your motorhome has air brakes
High Low Adapter - The tow bar needs to be within 3" of level. If you measure the height of the inside top of the hitch receiver tube on your RV, and the height difference is more than 3 inches above/below the base plate tab height, you'll need a high/low adapter. I have linked a FAQ article that explains all this in more detail along with our selection of adapters.

Is there a wiring kit you offer for a 2024 Bronco OBX 4 door w/ 2.3l that doesn't require splicing into the wiring? I.e. that has a T-Adapter? Thanks!
