Parts Needed to Flat Tow 2025 Ford Bronco Badlands

Updated 02/26/2026 | Published 02/23/2026

Question:

Folks, I need everything to attach a 2025 ford bronco badlands edition to a 2026 tiffin allegro 40IP. The hitch size on the RV is 2.5”. I’d like to go with a road master setup, and avoid splicing wires if possible. There is also an option to add a Ford Performance Heavy-Duty Modular front bumper instead of the standard steel bumper. Wondering if that would help. The RV has an Air Force one brake hookup, so after installing the above, I will dive into that.

Hey Bill, for the 2025 Ford Bronco the bumper type you go with will determine which Roadmaster base plate kit you'll need. If you go with the standard bumper you would need the part # RM79RR or if you go with the Modular bumper you would want the part # RM92ZR.

The only issue with Roadmaster setups is there isn't a tow bar that fits your 2-1/2 inch hitch size so if you'd be open to a Blue Ox setup you could use the part # BLU78QV and a Blue Ox base plate kit # BLU23XR which actually fits both bumper styles as well.

For lighting there isn't a no-splice solution so you would need to go with a kit like the Roadmaster # RM-15267 which installs with diodes. Then for braking you'd want the part # SM99209 since you have the Air Force One already installed on the RV.

Can you use a 2.5” to 2” insert that you sell?

@BillS Yeah that is an option. Generally I try not to recommend adapters unless absolutely needed but that would work technically. Sometimes it's just one more thing to remember and they make extra noise.
