Question:
I am trying to set up a 2025 Bronco to flat tow. It has the capable bumper. I would like to see what is the best setup with minimal modifications to the Bronco.

Hey there, I completely understand wanting to keep your new Bronco as clean and unmodified as possible while still getting a solid flat tow setup.
For a 2025 Bronco with the capable bumper, the best confirmed base plate option is the Roadmaster Direct-Connect kit, part # RM92ZR. This is designed to work with that bumper, but I do want to be upfront that there will still be some light modification involved. You’ll need to trim a small section of the bumper and drill a few holes for the install. Once it’s on, though, the brackets are pretty low profile and the removable arms keep the front end looking clean when you’re not towing.
I know a lot of people ask about using the D-rings on the capable bumper to avoid installing a base plate, but those aren’t rated for flat towing and aren’t recommended for that use, so going with a true base plate like this is the safest route.
I recommend a portable braking system like the Blue Ox Patriot, part # BLU37TR. This is a great fit since it doesn’t require a permanent install in the vehicle. It sits on the floor and applies the brakes when your motorhome slows down. Most setups do require running a small line through the firewall, but sometimes there’s an existing grommet you can use so you’re not drilling anything new.
For the tow bar, the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar, part # e74ZR, pairs really nicely with that Roadmaster base plate. It connects directly, is easy to release even if you’re not perfectly level, and the built-in adjustment helps keep everything within that ideal level range without needing extra adapters.
To avoid tapping into your Bronco’s wiring, a wireless tow light setup like the Demco kit, part # DM36MV, is a great option. It plugs into the 12 volt outlet and keeps everything simple without cutting into factory wiring. Based on what’s available, there’s no clear requirement to disconnect the battery for flat towing so you wouldn't need a charge line kit to use the Demco kit.
This setup keeps things as clean and low impact as possible while still giving you a safe and proven flat towing system.
How do you like to use your Bronco, more overlanding, beach cruising, or getting into tighter rocky trails? My brother just bought a Bronco and he loves to off road.

Tim. I use the recommended product. I love it and it is easy to install. It says use 2 people for the bumper R&R but I did it by myself. If you are concerned about off-road recovery I believe you can use this for that purpose.

I installed the Roadmaster, easy job for me. I also bought the wiring harness that plugs into the rear wiring harness which was a bit more work to disassemble the rear lights to access. I pull my 24 Bronco Badlands with an Tiffin Allegro Bus. I dont use a braking system and have not for near 30 years. Keep your unsafe comments to yourself.

I put it on my 2024 Bronco. I was going to have someone do it but after reading the insructions I did it myself. I dont have the cameras in my front bumber so that was one less thing to worry about.
