We can help you out with that! In order to flat tow your 2021 Ford Bronco behind your 2022 Newmar Class A motorhome you will need at least 5 main parts. Those parts are a base plate kit, tow bar, safety cables, tow bar wiring and a supplemental braking system. I have included each of those parts below, along with a brief description of their purpose.
Base Plate Kit: This is a custom fit part that provides attachment points on your Bronco for the tow bar to use.
- Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM92ZR which is made in the USA and has a limited life-time warranty.
Tow Bar: This is what will come from your motorhome and attach to the base plate kit on your Bronco.
- Roadmaster Nighthawk All Terrain, Non-Binding Tow Bar # RM-676 which is made in the USA, has a limited life-time warranty and is compatible with the above recommended base plate kit. This tow bar also includes the safety cables, so you will not need to get them separately.
Tow Bar Wiring: Allows you to use your Bronco's tail lights and wiring system while preventing feedback from your RV.
- Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-154 for combined lighting or # 154-792-118158 for separate lighting.
Supplemental Braking System: This is what will allow you to travel with and safely stop your Bronco while flat towing.
- Demco Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System # DM86VR. This will give you proportional braking with a system that never has to be removed, replaced, or reset.
You may also need a high-low adapter to keep your set-up level. I have included a help article that goes over how to determine if one is needed. I have also linked our selection of high-low adapters so you can select the correct one if one is needed.
You will also want to consult the owners manual of your 2021 Ford Bronco to ensure you are doing everything that is required/recommended to flat tow your Bronco.

i bought kit Roadmaster 6-Diode Universal Wiring Kit for Towed Vehicles with Separate Lighting from etrailer several months ago. Installed and everything works great. The 2024 Bronco comes with pre-wire factory wiring for a trailer connection. Rather than pay ford to install i did an ala carte type install. Trailer hitch from amazon, 7pin/4pin connector from etrailer. Installed a hitch mounted red light and it worked. Thinking all was good i moved on. Later I got a volt meter and tested all the pins on the 7pin and 4 pin connectors. Only the lights worked - no turn, 12+ volt, brake lights. I searched google and found i needed a ford trailer control module. Purchased and installed, used ForScan to make the flash changes and still not working correctly. Left turn is on, 12+ works, Lights work. No right turn or brake. Question - could the 2 -3 way convertor on the wiring Kit i bought from etrailer be sending any kind of feedback into the oem trailer harness? I removed the 7pin connector and tested directly at the OEM wiring harness. Same thing. Before I remove the quarter panel trim again (real pain) I wanted to see if you had any thoughts. I thought the diodes would prevent any feedback. I did not splice the OEM tail lights - bought a cheap harness off of amazon and spliced into that. Next step is to open up the tail lights and remove the spliced harness and restore back to factory harness only. Thoughts? Thanks, Wyatt
