Recommended Flat Tow Setup for A 2025 Ford Bronco Heritage

Dear Etrailer, We want to tow our 2025 Bronco Heritage with the steel Capable bumper. I feel the RM27NQ Tow Bar, RM92ZR Base Plate Kit, Blue OX BLU37TR braking system for manual trans is this the best portable system? and the Demco LED light bar. I dont know which safety cables are best with the RM27NQ, please recommend. Also, is there anything else I need? BTW, I had an RVI system that engaged the brakes while driving and ruined two front tires. I hope the Blue Ox is better. Thanks, Charlie Martin

You've selected a solid flat towing setup for your 2025 Ford Bronco Heritage with the factory steel bumper. The Roadmaster Nighthawk Tow Bar # RM27NQ and Roadmaster Direct-Connect Base Plate Kit # RM92ZR are a match, and the Nighthawk has integrated LED lights and includes the safety cables.
For the braking system, the Blue Ox Patriot Braking System # BLU37TR is one of our most popular portable systems. We've received a lot of positive feedback on the Patriots. While I can't directly compare it to your RVI system, it's well known to be a reliable braking system.
Since the Patriot draws power from the Bronco's battery while towing, I would recommend adding the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Towed Vehicles # RM-156-25 and the Roadmaster Battery Charge Line Kit for Motorhomes # RM-156-75. These kits allow the motorhome to maintain the Bronco's battery charge while towing, helping prevent battery drain during long travels.
Because your Bronco has a manual transmission, I would suggest the Roadmaster Stop Light Switch Kit # RM64TQ. This kit provides a true brake pedal signal for the supplemental braking system monitor so you can verify when the Bronco's brakes are actually being applied. Given the issues you experienced with your previous braking system, this can provide peace of mind by helping you monitor braking while towing.
For lighting, if you decide you would rather use the Bronco's taillights instead of the Demco wireless light bar # DM36MV, the Roadmaster Diode Wiring Kit # RM-15267 is confirmed to fit your Bronco and is a great permanent wiring solution.

Hey Charles, I have this tow setup and I love it. I pull my 2019 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk Elite with my Coachman 26DS Class C. I've pulled it over 5000 miles already and have not had any issues. This bar is well made, easy to use and the extra LED's provide great light at night so people around you see that you have a tow. The installation was easy on the RV and I wouldn't easy or hard on the Cherokee, it was just time consuming as Jeep makes you pull off the entire front fascia to get to the bumper and mounting points for the brackets. Not hard, but time consuming. I did add the battery charge kit and the diode kit to use the Cherokee's taillights. Again, not hard to install, but definitely took some time. Hope this helps. Charles, You can't go wrong with the Nighthawk tow bar. Easy hookup and maintenance but what I really like is the LED lighting on each arm that mimics all the rest of the lights on our RV and Maverick. The only difference is I choose to go with the Demco Stay and Play braking system. I wanted it out of sight, out of mind and where all I have to do is hook it up and throw the switch and I'm down the road. Good Luck and Safe Travels!!
