Many tow systems require some sort of hitch accessory to either raise or lower your tow bar so that it sits level. To determine if your setup needs an adapter, hook the tow bar up to your rv and towed car and measure to see how close to level it is. The "safe zone" for a motor-home-mounted tow bar ranges from 3 inches above level to 3 inches below. Car-mounted models must be absolutely level. This high-low adapter can provide you with the necessary drop or desired rise to achieve a level tow bar setup.

Purchased to raise my bike rack above my exhaust to avoid damaging the bike tires and rack. Seems to have worked perfectly so far.
Works as it should. I wish it had the ability to put a bike rack in the other slot though.
I would recommend 2 anti-raddle clams to keep your riser and tow bar extremely ridged. This is a good solution if your toad and Motor home hitch are not level.

I bought the drop hitch for my bike rack as the ramp would be not as steep. As far as the unit, I would have liked having the lower tube further back on the upper tube so it doesn't stick out so far. When I park in a parking lot I have to fold the bike rack up as otherwise it sticks out far enough that it might get hit by a passing vehicle.
I truthfully have not used this product as I purchased it with a carrier that was to heavy for me to place in the hitch of my truck. Therefore I never used to adapter.
This part was delivered on time and performed just as needed.

Needed a drop hitch but wanted the shortest possible. The Curt fit that bill and has higher load ratings than others.

Works great, no issues. I’ve inspected the unit, pulli roughly 15,000 miles, with no cracks in the welds.

etrailer shipping was prompt and the base plate was received in a few days. I installed these myself in one day. I have not yet towed the Maverick but I do not foresee any problems. I chose the Blue Ox base plate over the RoadMaster because the RoadMaster required extensive modification to the Active Shutters. The Blue Ox instructions skip some details that end up taking time to resolve. There are clips holding the fascia to the fender that broke when I pulled the fascia, maybe they could have been released from the inside before pulling. There is a black box on the driver's side frame that has to be temporarily removed to install the base plate. The base plate bolt interferes with installation of the black box. I bent the black box bracket to get it to fit but now the box contacts the marker lamp on the fascia (I'll have to watch for future wear/damage). Cutting holes in the fake fog lamps was time consuming as there is a lot of guess work about the location. Although the instructions say start cutting holes for the tow tabs, it's the safety chain connections that are challenging. The problem is trying to hold the fascia up in position while the base plate pushes it away from the truck. The cutouts end up being a little crude but not really noticeable in the grand overview.
It does what it is supposed to do.

Works just fine
It made my tow car tow hitch bar perfectly level.
Works. Gives our 4 bike rack extra lift on our Sienna that rides low. Especially when fully loaded for travel.
