After purchasing this B&W 5th wheel kit I installed it myself. The kit came with great instructions and easy to understand. The kit has all the little tricks to assist with installation. I would buy and use this again if and when needed.
E trailer in my opinion is the best place to buy hitches and accessories. The videos definitely helped during install. Overall this rail kit was perfect fit and install really wasn't too bad. Do yourself a favor and watch the install video and you won't really need the paper directions. Some of the bolts are very difficult to get to to tighten due to heat shield and fuel tank but that is no fault to the rail kit.
This hitch is so much better than my previous PullRite hitch. Hitches every time. I spend 10 minutes less time making minor adjustments so that it isn't grabbed high. Very pleased.
Wasn’t a 4 hr job! Brackets.came from outside of the frame pointing towards the center .The one was behind the gas tank making it necessary to lower the tank.Directions were spot on other than ease of installation!
It's a little harder to mount than I expected. Doing it by myself and takes a little more time. Now that its done I like the look of the mounting this is only the second time I have mounted a 5th wheel hitch
Prices are great.. shipping is on time and I wouldn't hesitate to buy from here again..
The ordering system was very simple to use, Alex the sales expert I had my conversation with was very knowledgeable and helpful. Payment questions were handled with ease and delivery was right on time. We have not gotten the items installed yet but so far, the process was nothing but A-1.
Great product but I was missing one carriage bolt. One additional tool I would suggest to anyone installing would be a ratcheting box end 13 mm wrench to reboot the heat shield.
The installation is simple but a little more time consuming than expected. I am a fairly good mechanic and with the assistance of a friend who is an excellent, 30-year that's his job, mechanic we feel the two of us could do the installation in an hour and a half next time. Took us 3 hours to do the installation. I do recommend two people and to not do as seen on one of the videos and cut the heat shield, just take your time and take the two heat shields down for the room. I've installed Universal fifth wheel rails in the past and they compare nothing to the quality and cheer girth and strength and fitment of the B&W custom fit rail system.
This kit is heavy duty as it should be to handle the weight of a fifth wheel trailer. All of the parts were in the kit including clear instructions on installing the rails. It is helpful to watch the installation video on the Etrailer website also. Overall a great product!

Well thought out kit,, haven't installed it yet but it looks straight forward,, would much prefer rails to be black but it be what it be,,, need better boxing on rails, they were falling out the box when delivered

Ive used it once but it worked great,,,I worked in a RV dealership in my earlier life and installed a few 5th wheel hitches and now days with the factory pre drilled frame it is a piece of cake
All metal parts are heavy gauge. After a year of use the pieces still look like new.
The B&W Custom base rail kit that I order was an excellent purchase. Product arrived when I was told it would, and everything fit like a glove. I found the video that showed the installation process extremely helpful, and everything worked just as it was shown.
The only reason I did not give 5 stars, is that I was shorted one bolt. Trying to find a grade 8 1/2'x 2" carriage bolt in small town America these days are almost impossible, especially when you have everything torn out under the vehicle. I will count before hand next time. Other than that, a great product.
Sold our 2017 2500 Silverado that had B&W Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches installed. Purchased a 2022 3500 Silverado HD and needed the base rails. Ordered and they work great with the 5th wheel we purchased earlier. Husband a 42 year truck driver very satisfied.
Shiny and new! The gray color matches the gray of my new truck. Very solid looking, good welds and finish. I chose these over several others due to the fact each bracket has four individual securing points, two in the frame and two through the bed to the cross bars. Impressed with these so far, installation looks to be straight forward, photos to come.
Was blown away by the great customer service (thanks James) and how quickly I received my order. Will definitely be ordering all my future truck parts from etrailer.
Easy install the only difficult part was tighting the bolts above the fuel tank.
It looks great, I have an install it yet, but it looks very high-quality
