Spring works very good. Install was pretty simple as well. Make sure you weigh your door like they say, go with that weight. You can overspring. My door weighed 80 pounds(you are weighing what you are lifting not the actual total weight of door)and I didn't believe it, I bought the 150 and it will hold the door 3 feet off the ground so I only have 1 spring hooked up now and it works fine, moral of the story I should have got the 80 pound spring and it would have been plenty. I rebuilt the ramp door on my toy hauler with plywood so it is to heavy to lift by yourself, that is why I installed the overhead spring assist. I set my spring up so the cable is coming off the top so it clears the bunk beds(you can flip the whole spring around or the drums) I also had to mount the cable attachmens 24 inches from the top of the door so the cable wouldn't rub the header. The spring still picks the door up with ease.

  • Availablity Of Replacement Ramp Door Spring For 94 Door That Weighs 140lbs
For your cargo trailer with a 94" wide door that weighs about 140lbs you'll need to go with the Conventional Ramp Door Spring # 362SA8207. This is designed for doors your size, and has a 150lb capacity which will be perfect for your door weight. I personally like the dual spring setup like this as opposed to the single spring option that way if a spring ever breaks you still have the other side to keep the door from just crashing down. I'll say that the tension these springs are under...

  • Enclosed Trailer Ramp Door Spring Assembly Needed For a 125LB Ramp Door
The 120-LB # M354FR is going to likely be a better option with the door weight between 125-130lbs. While the 150-LB # 362SA8207 will work the higher weight will make the door want to raise up off the ground which can be troublesome when trying to load something and the door starts to close itself. Both these kits can be narrowed down to the 88" width you are needing. Be sure to check out our etrailer Enclosed Trailer Transition Plate # e32JR as well. If you install this it will make the...

  • Recommended Ramp Door Spring Options For A 6' Wide Enclosed Trailer
For a 6' wide trailer we have the 120lb capacity # 362SA6 and 80lb capacity # M364FR ramp door springs from M-3. Both of these options can be shortened by sliding the mounting bracket down and cutting the tube to fit your trailer. The # 362SA6 fits 38" to 69" wide trailer doors and the # M364FR fits 37-1/2" to 67-5/8" wide trailer doors.

  • Recommended Replacement Spring for a Conventional Ramp Door Spring for an Enclosed Trailer
Jared, the Replacement Cables for Conventional Ramp Door Spring # M339FR is not going to work with the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer # 362SA8207 but it does work with the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer # ERS160D96 which is the same thing but has a higher weight capacity.

  • Availability of Ramp Spring that Fits 30-36 inch Wide Opening
That specific part number isn't available but we have the same spec ramp spring with the part # 362SA8207 which is 94 inches wide, a dual ramp setup, and has a 150 lb capacity. For a smaller size that fits a 30-36 inch wide door instead you'd want the part # 362SA4 which fits door widths that are between 24 and 44 inches.

  • How to Choose Proper Trailer Ramp Door Spring Rating
You won't need to obtain the weight of the entire door, just the un-hinged side. You'll want to find the amount of weight you'll need to overcome to easily lift the door. You could use an old bathroom scale, place some blocking on it, and rest the open side of the ramp on it. The weight you get, minus the weight of the blocking would be the amount of weight that the spring needs to overcome. For instance, the # 362SA8207 ramp spring you'd looked at has a 150 lb rating. If the spring rating...

The cable that comes with the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer - Dual Spring - 150-lb Capacity # 362SA8207 is 150" and can be replaced with part # CAB1-8CB150. I confirmed this with my contact at TRC. If you needed to get a longer cable set then we have the 174" Long Cables as part # M339FR.

  • Compatibility of Conventional Ramp Door Springs to Be Used On a Trailer With Horizontally Split Door
I do not see any reason that you will not be able to use the Conventional Ramp Door Spring for 8' Wide Enclosed Trailer # 362SA8207 on your trailer. You will have to make sure that the top door is opened before the bottom half since the angle of the cable will drag on the top of the door if it is closed.
