Titan Chain Tire Chains with Assisted Tensioning
When the weather turns, getting chains on fast matters. Titan Chain tire chains with assisted tensioning go on easily and help you snug them up so they stay put as you work through snow and ice. A solid choice if you want straightforward installs and a secure fit.
You can use them on two or on all four when clearance allows. One user runs them on all 4 wheels for plowing, while another noted the rear had adequate clearance but the front steer axle was tight and not recommended. Check your vehicle's clearance and manual before using on the front.
They're made for a range of tire sizes, but exact fit depends on your size. Confirm your tire size against the fit chart; some sizes need a different option or a wider-base fit. Check inner clearance, especially on the steer axle, since limited space near control arms or brake lines can be a concern.
They're quick and straightforward to put on. Several folks installed them in less than ten minutes and found them super easy. Practice once at home, use tensioners to keep them tight, and drive slowly, then readjust. A couple of 8-inch 2x4 blocks to roll onto can make positioning easier.
Use chain tensioners and trim or zip tie any excess on the inside adjuster. Put them on evenly, drive slowly around the driveway, and readjust, then repeat. Some lower tire pressure to 20lbs when installing and air back up after for a tight fit. Make sure nothing loose can contact brake hoses or suspension parts.
