Rubber grommets can take work to seat, a dab of silicone grease can help, and extensions may be needed if you plan to screw on TPMS transmitters.
Yes, metal stems are used on aluminum wheels with no difficulties. Valve stem extensions may be required to screw on TPMS transmitters, especially on some aluminum wheel designs. Check the stem length and angle to leave room for the transmitter. Confirm the stem matches the wheel's hole size before installation.
Match the stem style to your pressure. If the rubber goes all the way up to the threads it's rated around 65 psi. With reinforcement between the rubber and threads it can be between 80 and 100 psi. More than 100 psi are metal ones. Verify your wheel's valve stem hole size before buying. If stepping up pressure, inspect the rubber-to-metal junction for any loosening or leaks.
Use a bit of silicone grease to help the stem pull through. Ensure the valve seats fully so it doesn't leak around the rubber grommets at the wheel. If it seeps, re-seat the stem until the leak stops. After installation, verify pressure holds before adding pass through tire pressure sensors.
Filtered and vortex cores can be length sensitive. There isn't a specific minimum or maximum length published, and they are likely not going to work with OEM MOPAR valve stems since they're designed for longer commercial truck style stems. Measure your stem length and compare before installing; shorter stems may require a different core.
