RV Slide Out Parts with Cylinder Replacements
Measure from the center of one port to the center of the other to match a cylinder; also note color like black or grey and verify extended and retracted lengths. Ends use 3/4"-10 nuts where threaded, and there is no seal kit, so replace when leaking. For creeping slides, perform the recommended hydraulic test to check for pressure loss, and add the o ring during install to avoid extra runs for parts.
Add an O-ring during installation to avoid a hardware store run. Recheck port-to-port center measurements before tightening everything down. Thread and fitting sizes should match your existing setup to prevent leaks.
Measure from the center of one port to the center of the other port to match the Cylinder. Note the color and compare extended and retracted lengths to your current unit. Fit can't be confirmed by year, make, and model alone, so remeasure to be sure before ordering.
A seal kit isn't offered for some Cylinders. Confirm whether a seal kit exists for your specific unit before teardown. If no kit is available, plan on replacing the Cylinder rather than attempting a reseal.
Start with a hydraulic Cylinder test to check for loss of pressure. You may find a crack in a valve in the manifold causing the issue; replace the defective part if a leak is found. Slide-out lock bars can help prevent creeping while towing as an added precaution.
Some Cylinder ends are threaded for a 3/4"-10 nut size. Verify that your Cylinder uses threaded ends and confirm the thread size on your unit. If in doubt, measure or check the specs stamped on the part before buying hardware.
