Measure once and install right with 5 Inch Diameter RV speakers. Check your cutout and overall diameter, and confirm the screw holes will be covered for a tidy remount. For outdoor locations, use a gasket maker or all-purpose sealant to keep the mount watertight.
Not all grilles are removable. If you're troubleshooting, first check the wiring connections. Swapping with a known good speaker can help confirm whether it's wiring or the speaker. If the cover doesn't come off, avoid prying to prevent damage.
Match the wattage and impedance to your originals. If your old speakers are 30 watt, 4 ohm, choose replacements with 30 watt, 4 ohm. Verify your radio/amp supports the same impedance. Reuse existing mounting hardware when it lines up.
Use a silicone gasket maker or an all-purpose sealant to help keep moisture out. Push sealant into any old screw holes and run a thin bead around the new speaker before tightening. Most swaps use plug-in spade terminals, so connections are straightforward.
