RV Cargo Slides with 100 Percent Extension

Full-travel slides make servicing heavy batteries, generators, and coolers easy—no more lifting or unloading. With 100 percent extension, you can reach everything outside the compartment while keeping gear supported. Check your compartment opening, depth, lip clearance, and weight needs, and consider a latching design to minimize rattles when secured.
Dry-fit and mark holes, then partially extend the tray to start the rear fasteners if removal isn't possible. Check for latch style; some lock for transport but may not lock in the out position. For batteries, add spacers or wood shims to keep them off rivets, and swap in longer straps if the included ones are too short.
Confirm the internal tray dimensions against your battery, generator, or cooler, and also measure the compartment door and depth. Allow clearance for side rivets and tie-downs so nothing rubs. Double-check dimensions when it arrives before drilling; if there's a front lip, plan for spacers or blocks so the slides clear.
Full extension lets you pull the tray completely out for easy access, so you can service heavy batteries or run a generator without lifting it to the ground. Measure the compartment and opening to confirm the tray can extend fully without hitting a lip. Follow the instructions on weight distribution when extended, and add a support or brace if your setup needs it.
Properly latched and secured, it tends to be quiet. Engage the latch and make sure the tray is firmly mounted; loaded weight helps reduce play. Secure cargo with straps or blocks so the item doesn't shift and create noise.
