Curt 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox, we're going to be test fitting the Curt 24 x 60 Cargo Carrier, part number C18153. We'll go ahead and insert the shank into our hitch. This particular carrier is designed for 2 inch hitches. We're going to line up our hitch pin holes here. With those in line, we'll insert our pin and clip. This particular rack does not come with a pin and clip.

Rola Dart Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox, we're going to be test fitting the Rola Dart 23" by 56" cargo carrier part number 59550. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank into the hitch. This does come with the anti-rattle hitch bolt, and I've left it on there just so you don't have to keep it in your pocket or something. It makes it a little easier to grab. We'll go ahead and pull that out and then we'll line up our hitch pin holes. Once you have those in line, you can go ahead and insert the threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt and get that hand-tight.

Pro Series Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox, we're going to be test fitting the Pro Series, 31X47 cargo carrier for 2-inch hitches. Part number PS1040100. We'll begin our test fit by positioning it up against our hitch. This carrier is a little awkward because of its dimensions. I like to position it here up against the hitch then come around to the back side, life up while pushing in. You don't have to worry about breaking your back as you get it inserted to the hitch.

MaxxTow Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox we're going to be test fitting the Maxxtow 20x47 cargo carrier part number MT70108. This is aluminum cargo carrier, so it's pretty light. I'll go ahead and start the test fit by inserting the shank into our hitch. You'll want to watch for the hitch pinholes to line up and then insert your pin and clip. This particular rack does not come with a pin and clip, so today we're using part number PC3. The closest point of our rack to our vehicle is going to be here at the rail. That measures about four and a half inches from our bumper. Overall we've added about 27 inches to the rear of the equinox and our ground clearance from the back of the rack here is going to be about nine inches. The exhaust on this vehicle does exit on the driver side.

The closest part of the carrier to the vehicle is going to be here at the rail.

Curt 17x46 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2005 Chevrolet Equinox

Today on our 2005 Chevy Equinox, we're going to be test fitting the Curt 17X46 cargo carrier for 1 1/4 and 2-inch hitches, part number C18145. We'll begin our test fit by inserting the shank of the rack into the hitch on our vehicle. This does have the 1 1/4 to 2 inch adapter so it helps to keep a hand on that as you slide it in. You'll then want to line up your hitch pinholes and insert the included threaded anti-rattle hitch bolt. We'll go ahead and get that as tight as we can by hand. We'll then take our wrench and finish it off.
