2020 and newer GM trucks use pulse width modulation which won't send enough power to properly operate a Furrion RV camera system. To solve this Furrion came out with the # FR87PR which corrects the problem by looping over power from the 12v circuit to the running light circuit.
ASA Electronics made the # VGR64VR and it just so happened to also solve the power issue by storing power and properly feeding the main camera 12 volts and fixing the signal issues. You would only need to use one... view full answer...
In order to retrofit the Replacement Lock Core and Key part # SR03807 and Replacement Lock Locator part # TH03808 to the top lid on your cargo box you would need to drill out the two rivets for the old lock and then drill a new 5/8" hole for the new lock core. The lock can then be secured in the hole via the included nut.
In regards to retrofitting the Replacement Bottom Lock Bracket SR00841 to the bottom lid, I unfortunately don't have much advice on this but it will be similar to the... view full answer...
That is exactly what the adapter was designed to do.
The Furrion # FR87PR is designed to provide the proper amount of voltage on the running lamp circuit of the 7-way so a camera system will receive enough power to operate reliably. Ford and GM 2019 models seem to have this issue.
There's also now a more permanent solution, which is splicing in the PWM Filter # VGR64VR behind the camera to provide a steady current to the camera and clear up the signal issues. view full answer...
The newer Chevrolet and GM pickup trucks have a known power deficiency issue with the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Observation Camera System w/ Side Marker Light Cameras # FCE48TASL-05.
There is likely nothing wrong that you did, the problem is the truck does not provide enough power on the running light circuit.
Furrion has recognized this as a widespread issue and has released the 7-Way Vehicle Power Adapter w/ Power Switch for Furrion RV Observation Camera # FR87PR to mitigate the... view full answer...
I have to go off the GM dealership recommendation. If they are saying you need the Hydrastar # HBA-CAM or Dexter # DX35FR adapter module for your factory brake controller to work with your electric over hydraulic brake actuator, then I can't really deny it. The main issue is the factory brake controllers are controlled by the ECU on the truck and as trucks continue to change one year you may not need the adapter and the next you you may. Since they have started doing over the air updates... view full answer...
I checked with my tech contact over at Roadmaster and he mentioned that there could be a couple of things going on here that I'll try to address for you. First, you can access the internal components in the Even Brake # RM-9400 system by removing the 4 screws on the bottom on the unit, as well as 2 allen screws on the side. Once you've got the case off the system, you'll be able to access the internal components where there will be 4 vacuum lines and 8 connectors on the system.
If your... view full answer...
I would start by inspecting the connector on your trailer and the vehicle to make sure there is not corrosion in the connector which could be causing a bad or weak connection. If there is corrosion in the trailer side connector, you would need to replace it with 7-way Connector, part # A7WCB. For the replacement vehicle side connector, you would need Adapter 4 Pole to 7 Pole, part # 30717. For future use, I would recommend using Dielectric Grease for Electrical Connectors, part # 11755,... view full answer...
When you hooked up to the GM trucks, did you notice if the truck said trailer connected?
The towing computer on the newer GMC trucks is kind of finicky and if it did not recognize the trailer, or the trailer was not setup in the system it will not send power to the trailer brakes.
If you were getting the no trailer connected message you will need to use the 7-Way Trailer Adapter # C57003 which has load resistors and will help the computer detect the trailer.
If the trailer was not setup... view full answer...
It could be some internal parts but it could also be the electrical system itself. The easiest way to know if the internal parts are the issue or not is to use the manual override to see if it will extend and retract without any electricity. If it does then you'll want to check your electrical connections but if it doesn't then it's something internal and you'll need to take the jack apart to see what needs to be replaced.
Should you decide to replace your landing gear I recommend checking... view full answer...
Before you replace your unit try first, removing the screws holding your unit to your Winnebago. Then, remove the plug at the rear of the unit, wait 60 seconds, and plug back in. This will preform a reset on the unit and may solve your issue. This may have been caused if your battery has been fully discharged.
If this does not solve your issue, then yes, a Replacement Touchpad Control Panel for Kwikee Level Best Hydraulic RV Leveling System for Winnebago # LC77CJ is the solution. These... view full answer...
I've attached the owners manual for your 4900K model which is similar to the # MA00-04500K model. It sounds like your operator mechanism is bad according to my tech contact at MaxxAir. For your 4900K model you will want the Replacement Operator Mechanism for MaxxAir MaxxFan Plus or MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vents # MA10-20281K-1AF.
If you can't even manually lift the lid, this mechanism is definitely the issue. view full answer...
I spoke with Furrion, and they said that the problem lies in which parts were used. You bought the heater strip # C-FACR15SA-A02 our part # FR35SR, which are the heat strips for the manual air distribution box.
Instead, you're going to want to use C-FACR15SA-A04, which is the correct part for the electronic style air distribution box # FACT12LA-PS that you have. view full answer...
The calibration process of the Curt Spectrum # C51170 should only happen after initial installation and should be run before you plug in the trailer to your tow vehicle. You should have seen the green lights on the knob light up in a clockwise motion 7 times, which indicates the calibration is occurring. If you've gone through this process and the error occurred, then the lights on the knob can tell you a bit about what's potentially going on. If you're seeing all red lights that would... view full answer...
It sounds like you need the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator Adapter Module # HBA-CAM for the OEM brake controller on your 2022 Ram 3500. This will ensure that your controller works properly with the Hydrastar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator # HBA16 as often times factory controllers do not work correctly with electric over hydraulic brakes. view full answer...
Sine the LED does not light up on your Curt Echo # C51180, that means there's no power getting through to it. Given the fact that the Echo was receiving power and working properly at one point, chances are you're dealing with a poor ground issue.
I would start by checking the power and ground circuits on your Ram's trailer wiring. These will be on the 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions, as shown in the attached diagram. You can use a 12V probe-style circuit tester, like # PTW2991 to check... view full answer...
In order to test the controller on the Lippert Ground Control 3.0 Electric Leveling System you'll first need to obtain a multimeter. Once you have this then you will need to use the ground probe and place that on the green wire coming from the back of the harness and then use the power probe and place that on the black wire coming from the back of the harness. You should read 12 volts but if you do not have 12 volts you will need to trace this wire back while checking for shorts. It will... view full answer...
I reached out to Happijac for clarification and I was told there are two different remote types. The remotes with the newer style logic boards have 25 amp fuses. Remotes with the old logic boards have 20 amp fuses. If you look at the rear of the circuit board you should be able to see which fuses you have. It appears that you have the 20 amp logic board. The replacement remote for the logic board with 20 amp fuses is Replacement Remote Controller for Wireless HappiJac Electric Truck Camper... view full answer...
Like you said, many factory integrated brake controllers will not work well with electric over hydraulic trailer braking systems. Some of the newer versions of these controllers now have an electric over hydraulic mode. Check to see if any of your trucks have this mode and, if they do, if the braking starts working with the pedal.
Otherwise there are a couple of solutions to solve this issue. First, there may be an adapter that will allow the factory controllers to work but it depends... view full answer...
The correct Replacement Operator Mechanism for your model 4751KS MaxxAir MaxxFan is part # MA10-20281K-1AF. If your fan lid is unable to open even manually, then this is the part you need to replace.
The other part you referenced, # MA10A04751KS would replace the printed circuit board on your MaxxFan instead.
If you aren't sure which part needs to be replaced on your MaxxFan, let me know what issues you're having with it and I'll be happy to point you in the right direction. view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, i have a couple things for you to do. Let me explain below:
*12V PWM Filter for RV Backup Camera Systems - Hardwire # VGR64VR.
The newer GMC vehicles use PWM(Pulse With Modulation) in their electrical systems. The Furrion Vision S can not handle the PWM. If you do not already have a PWM filter I recommend getting the linked unit above once it is wired in line with your camera it will fix the PWM issues.
Now to your "no signal" issue, to me this sounds like a... view full answer...
