Sine the LED does not light up on your Curt Echo # C51180, that means there's no power getting through to it. Given the fact that the Echo was receiving power and working properly at one point, chances are you're dealing with a poor ground issue.
I would start by checking the power and ground circuits on your Ram's trailer wiring. These will be on the 1 o'clock and 7 o'clock positions, as shown in the attached diagram. You can use a 12V probe-style circuit tester, like # PTW2991 to check for function at the 7-Way plug. You mentioned no corrosion on the pins, but could one possibly be loose or bent? If needed, you can use # HM40975 as a direct replacement plug.
If the connector isn't the issue, inspect the wiring behind it for any damaged areas where copper is visible or any spots where the jacketing on the wire is broken and replace or repair as needed.
If you're still having the same issue after performing these steps, please let me know so we can continue to troubleshoot until the issue is resolved.
