Thank you for the photo; unfortunately there really is no "fix" for the Curt Trailer Hitch # 13530 touching the spare tire on your 2008 Lexus RX 350. While I can understand wanting to lower the spare a bit during the install, that can cause an issue like what you are experiencing. We don't have the exact wire you'd need to use but we can tell you that you can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to test all of the wires that run to the brake switch till you find a circuit that has voltage only when the brakes are applied. view full answer...

We haven't had the opportunity to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C29VV on a 2023 Lexus RX 350 as of yet (December 2023), but I'm attaching a clip from the instructions for you to reference. This part of the instructions shows there you'll need to lower the exhaust if the exhaust tips sit in the general area of the bolt holes you'll need access to for the installation. Absolutely correct; no drilling into the frame of your 2023 Lexus RX 350 is required, and you will use the existing frame holes to install the Draw-Tite hitch that fits, which is the following part number:

There's a possibility you could add enough washers to the install hardware of the Draw Tite hitch part # 75540 to allow it to fit under the rear bumper without trimming but since that would void the warranty of the hitch we cannot recommend that. As long as your 2021 Lexus RX350 isn't the F-Sport model, the Curt Class III hitch, part # C73DR is a confirmed fit. The Curt # C13272 hitch you'd looked at isn't a confirmed fit.
We haven't received any feedback stating that installing the Curt # C73DR hitch has prevented the hands-free liftgate feature on the Lexus RX350 from working, but it will typically block the sensors from reading input right at the center of the vehicle. The RX350 with the tow package is somewhat of a rarity. Since your Lexus has the wiring port in the rear driver's side cargo area, I would recommend using a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 and check to see if that port is active. Activate the left turn signal and probe the wires until you locate the one that makes your tester light. Repeat this procedure to identify the right turn and running light circuit. The manufacturers and installers (like us) have the luxury of lifts to install trailer hitches and other things but they are not required. It makes it easier for sure especially when making an installation video!
You could install Curt trailer hitch # C13272 on your 2017 Lexus RX 350 by just lying on the ground but the more space you have the easier it will be. Using a jack, ramps, jack stands, will give you more space should you need it.

Since the Curt Hitch part # C13272 installs by simply raising up into position at the rear of your vehicle and then bolting it into place there would be no need for you to remove the rear damper or any body panels to installation.

The 2015 and 2016 model years of the Lexus RX 350 are from different generations of this popular vehicle (AL10 and AL20) and so the hitches that fit the two model years are different. Yes, you do have the correct part. The Tekonsha # 118255 is the correct harness for your 2010 Lexus RX350, but I think you might be looking in the wrong spot. The plug you're looking for is located under the vehicle on the drivers side and not hidden behind the cargo panels as some other harnesses for the 2010 Lexus RX350.

You will need to trim a small section of the fascia underneath the bumper of your 2022 Lexus RX 350 in order to install the Curt hitch that fits, which is the following part number:

If you are using harness # 18002 then you would ground the white wire to a clean, bare metal surface. The white is the ground for the harness. The wires that you are tapping into on the vehicle will use that ground and it should still work.
It is possible that the ground on the factory harness is tucked up further towards the front of the vehicle for some reason so you will want to cut back the covering/loom to see if there are more wires. The ground may not be white on the vehicle harness.... view full answer...
The Lexus RX350 isn't equipped with the plug under the dash for installing a brake controller, so the controller would need to be hardwired using our Brake Controller Install Kit, part # ETBC7.

In order to install a brake controller like the Curt Venturer, # C74VV, on your 2008 Lexus RX 350, you will need to hardwire it in. There isn't a plug-in harness available for your vehicle.

You should not have to trim anything on your 2016 Lexus RX350 to install etrailer trailer hitch # e94AR. Ther is also no drilling required for installation. If Your Lexus is equipped with the lateral performance damper, the damper will need to be removed to install this hitch. This hitch is an excellent choice for use with a bike rack.
There is another hitch that will fit, # C13272. But if it were me I would go with the less expensive etrailer hitch.
