Features to know about

Effortless Installation Every Time: Custom-Fit T-One Connector

Say goodbye to the hassle of cutting, splicing, and tapping wires. The T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with a 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector is custom-designed to plug seamlessly into your car's existing wiring system, ensuring a perfect fit every time. No more guesswork or complicated electrical setups—just a straightforward, reliable connection that gets you road-ready in no time.

Never Worry About Electrical Shorts: Built-In Circuit Protection

Guard your vehicle and trailer against potential electrical issues with the integrated circuit-protected converter. This robust feature is a lifesaver when it comes to protecting your vehicle from electrical shorts and overloads, allowing you to tow with complete confidence and peace of mind.

Signal Compatibility Made Simple: Combine Brake and Turn Light Functions

Most trailers operate on a simpler two-wire system, but your vehicle's three-wire setup could make things tricky. The built-in tail light converter elegantly combines brake and turn signal functions onto a single wire, ensuring your trailer’s lights work precisely as they should without affecting your vehicle’s tail lights.

Secure Connections in Any Weather: Weather-Resistant Features

Keep corrosion at bay and ensure lasting reliability with weather-resistant features. The harness comes with a dust cap for the 4-way flat connector and is designed with 16-gauge bonded wire, offering durability and protection even in adverse conditions. Add a dab of grease to the connections to safeguard them from the elements.

Universal Compatibility: Works with Various Adapters

Whether you’ve got a 5-pole, 6-pole, or 7-pole trailer adapter, this harness has you covered. With its flexible design, it easily adapts to a range of connector types (sold separately), making it an ideal choice for versatile towing needs, no matter the trailer configuration.

Simple Installation Instructions: Stay Out of the Shop

With comprehensive installation instructions available, most users will find they can install this wiring harness themselves in under an hour with minimal tools. Whether you're a seasoned DIYer or a first-timer, this harness empowers you with the independence to get the job done quickly and efficiently.

Installation Guidance

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located inside your trunk, behind the tail lights on both the driver's side and passenger's side. You will need to remove some interior trim or carpeting to access the harness.

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed within your trunk.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Circuit-Protected Tail Light Converter

A tail light converter is built into this T-One connector. Because most trailers run on a two-wire system - wherein the brake and turn signals are carried on one wire - the separate brake and turn signals from your vehicle's three-wire system need to be combined so they are compatible with the wiring system of your trailer. The tail light converter combines the brake and turn signal functions of your automobile so that they run on one wire to properly activate your trailer's tail lights.

This converter safeguards itself and your vehicle against possible electrical shorts and overloads with integrated short circuit protection. Just install the connector as indicated and rest assured that the wiring system of your vehicle will remain feedback-free.

Note

  • This will not affect how the tail lights on your vehicle operate.

  • Correct Wiring Harness for 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX
Hey Adrian! The # 118420 is designed for the sedan models so that explains why it wouldn't work. The correct wiring harness for your 2012 Honda Civic Coupe EX is the # 118437. If you need anything else feel free to reach out in the comments below.

  • Is The Curt Or Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Better For a 2012 Honda Fit?
Both the Draw-Tite # 24826 and Curt # C11064 are equally suited for use on your 2012 Honda Fit. These are both class I receivers with the main difference being the installation process due to the different designs. I have linked installation videos below for each of these so you can determine if one would be easier for you to install should you plan on installing the receiver yourself. If I had to choose one over the other I would select the Curt since I know the main receiver portion is...

  • Custom FIt Hitch for a 2010 Honda Accord Ex Sedan or Coupe
I have a hitch for your 2010 Honda Accord Ex but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C13900 is too wide for your frame. I have linked a diagram that shows the dimensions of this hitch so you can compare it to the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver item # C11496 that does fit your Accord. This hitch is custom fit and bolts directly to your Accord's frame with included hardware. I took a look at your vehicles manual and found that your cars towing capacity is only 1,000 lbs. You're better off...

  • Why Isn't There 2 inch Hitch that Fits 2012 Honda Accord for Wheel Chair Carrier
For lighter duty vehicles like your 2012 Honda Accord there are only 1-1/4 inch hitches available like the Draw Tite part # 24899 since the vehicle just doesn't have the capacity for heavier accessories like a wheel chair carrier. Only solutions would be a vehicle with higher weight capacities or use the Draw Tite hitch I mentioned to to a small trailer. If you were going to go the trailer route you would also need trailer wiring like with the # 118420.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2013 MazdaSPEED 3
Yes indeed! Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 24843 does fit the 2013 MazdaSPEED 3. If you plan on doing some towing you will also need the recommended ball mount and a ball. Use # 19256 for a 1-7/8 inch or # 19258 for a 2 inch. For trailer wiring, if the vehicle has the Grand Touring LED tail light package use # 119179KIT. If it does NOT have the Grand Touring LED tail light package use # 118420.

  • Recommended Hitch for 2012 Honda Fit
For your 2012 Honda Fit I recommend the # 306-X7286 EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver. This Class II hitch has a 2" receiver opening with a maximum gross trailer weight of 2,000 lbs and tongue weight of 300 lbs. As for the 2015 hitch, a hitch from the 2015 Honda Fit is not compatible with the 2012 Honda Fit. If you plan on doing some light-duty towing, I recommend the # 118420 Tekonsha T-One Wiring Harness for your wiring needs. This is a custom fit part with easy installation. The T-One...

  • Hitch and Wiring for 2009 Mazda 3 Hatchback Grand Touring
We can help you get your 2009 Mazda 3 Grand Touring Edition ready for your utility trailer. Curt Class I hitch # C11386 is a good choice along with ball mount # C45016. You will also need a hitch ball, either 2-inch ball # A-82 or 1-7/8-inch ball # A-80. Just check the coupler on the trailer; it will be stamped or have a sticker to indicate the ball size required. This hitch has a 2000-lb trailer weight rating, meaning that the loaded trailer and its contents must remain within that limit....

  • 2009 Honda Fit Sport Trailer Hitch Recommendation for Towing a Small Trailer
Hey Jeff, thanks for reaching out! I prefer the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11064 for your 2009 Honda Fit Sport because it has a collar on it so it's a little more robust and easy to use than the Draw-Tite alternative that doesn't have a collar. You'll also need a wiring harness for the lights on your trailer and for that I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118420 as it has the best module on it and it tees in behind your tail lights so you won't have to splice into your...

  • Choosing a Ball Mount with Enough Rise to Tow a Trailer Level with a 2014 Honda Civic Sedan
Yes, that makes perfect sense. What you are talking about is rise and drop. If the vehicle hitch is lower than the trailer coupler with the trailer level then you will need a ball mount with a rise to compensate. If the vehicle was higher the ball mount would need to have a drop. To figure out the rise you will need you can use the trailer jack to make the trailer level then measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. Then you would compare that to the hitch measurement taken...

  • Can 2009 Honda Civic Tow 1,000 lb Trailer
I looked up the towing capacity of your 2009 Honda Civic and it appears to have a 1,000 lb capacity. So if you could keep the trailer under 1,000 lbs total you would be good. You'd need a hitch like the Curt # C11391 that fits your vehicle and has more capacity than needed as well. Then for trailer wiring you'd want the part # 118420 if you have a sedan or part # 118437.

We have everything you are looking for, but I must warn you that Mazda does not recommend towing with this vehicle, so you would be doing so at your own risk. The other complication is that there is no stated towing capacity for your vehicle because it is not recommended for towing. You will want to be very careful if you choose to tow. • Can I Tow a 2007 Honda Fit with Automatic Transmission Behind my RV
Officially, Honda states that the Honda Fit should not be flat towed, however, it is possible and there are many people that flat tow their Honda Fits. According to our flat towing authority, Remco Towing, to flat tow your Honda Fit, you will want to follow the emergency towing instructions found in the owners manual. Honda lists specific procedures and restrictions, so it is important to follow those if you choose to tow your Fit. Keep in mind, if any damage were to occur due to flat towing,...

  • Trailer Wiring Harness for 2012 Honda Civic
To install a trailer wiring harness on your 2012 Honda Civic, all you'll need is the Tekonsha # 118420. You won't need the # 55151 wiring kit, as the # 118420 draws all the power it needs through the vehicle's taillight circuits. The Curt # C11391 hitch you'd looked at is a confirmed fit for your vehicle. You'll also need a ball mount like # 3593, a # PC2 hitch pin and # 19256 for a 1-7/8 or # 19258 for a 2 inch trailer ball. I've linked to some installation videos you might find helpful.

I recommend adding the Curt Class II Drawbar, part # C45521. This is a basic drawbar with a 3/4 inch diameter ball hole, and you'll combine this with either a 1-7/8 inch diameter ball, part # A-80 or 2 inch diameter hitch ball, part # A-82, depending on your trailer's coupler size. The differences between Curt Trailer Hitch # C11085 and # 11496 are so few, it really only comes down to aesthetics. Both hitches have the same capacity, they install the same way, and they both come with a ball mount, pin and clip. Besides price, the only differences is in the cross tubing. Trailer hitch # 11496 is at a direct angle while # C11085 is more of a gentle curve. A lot of people want as much of the hitch hidden as possible so I would go with # 11496. However, according to the owner's manual, your maximum towing capacity is 1,000 lbs, which is the number you will need to abide by. Both hitches are a confirmed fit for your Accord. The only difference between the two hitches you mentioned, the # C11085 and the # C11496 is that the # C11085 fits against the underside of the vehicle more cleanly. It wraps around the spare tire well, rather than passing under it like the # C11496 does. This also allows the receiver tube to sit closer to the underside of the bumper. This would give you a very slight advantage in ground clearance. Also, the # C11085 is a few dollars less...
