Installation

This custom-fit T-One connector plugs into your vehicle's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side tail lights. You will have to remove the tail light assemblies to access this harness.

T-One Connection Location Points Behind Tail Lights

Once installation is complete, the 4-way flat connector will be stowed beneath your vehicle, near the trailer hitch. A mounting bracket (sold separately) is recommended to keep the connector secure.

It is recommended that you use a small amount of grease on all electrical connections - the plugs on your automobile and the 4-pole connector itself - to help prevent corrosion.

Chevrolet Uplander

T one connector for our Uplander van was a breeze to install and works flawlessly. We were under time constraints and our phone rep helped us pick the fastest shipping option for the best value. She will be getting a seperate commendation letter. This will certainly not bethe first time I use or recommend e-trailers.

by:

Received the product quickly and was able to install this harness extremely quick. The instructions were easy to follow and it took me all of 15 minutes to hook up to my current brake lights. Could use a few more wire ties but other than that I am very pleased.

by:
2005 Saturn Relay

While this wiring harness is considerably more expensive than your average 4-wire plug you'd by at the local parts store, it was a breeze to install.

Removed the tail light assemblies, plug in one side, route the wires down behind the bumper, back up the other side, plug in. No drilling, no soldering, no wire taps that often cut wires, no messy electrical tape to eventually come unglued, no elaborate wiring under panels or carpet, and no unsightly wires hanging from unexpected places.

Definitely worth the extra price. Took me 5 or 6 minutes to install on a 2005 Saturn Relay. Zip tied in some strategic locations. Tested brakes, signals, and hazards. Everything worked great!

Fast processing and quick shipping!

Thanks etrailer.com!

  • Trailer Hitch And 7 Pin Wiring Setup For A 2008 Chevy Uplander
We can definitely set you up. For a trailer hitch for your 2008 Chevy Uplander we do have a no drill option # 13336. This will only fit models with the 121" wheel base. If you do not have the 121" wheel base I recommend the # 13344, which will require some drilling. Both hitches are rated for 4,000 lbs towing and 400 tongue weight. For your 7 pin round plug trailer wiring and brake controller, you will need the following parts. T-One Wiring Harness # 118396 Universal Install Kit # ETBC7 Prodigy...

  • Parts Needed to Tow Trailer with 2008 Chevy Uplander
Congratulations on the addition to the family! I took a look at the online version of the owner's manual for your 2008 Chevy Uplander and it lists a maximum trailer weight of 3,500 pounds. With this in mind your van is more than up to the task of pulling your loaded boat trailer with a healthy safety margin intact. Since you will be staying well under the vehicle's limits towing the trailer shouldn't put too much stress on the transmission or engine. I do just recommend verifying this...

  • Is the Factory Transmission Cooler Good Enough for Towing
The factory transmission cooler on just about any vehicle is not really designed for towing applications. Since transmission fluid cannot be over-cooled, I do recommend adding a supplemental transmission cooler especially when towing. Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific, but some vehicles may need a special fitting for installation. I would need to know the year, make, and model of the vehicle to determine if it needs anything special. The most popular cooler is the Derale...

  • Parts Needed to Flat Tow a 2007 Chevy Uplander
We do offer parts to allow your 2007 Chevy Uplander to be flat towed behind a motorhome. You would need to first start with a base plate kit. For that you would want the # BX1663. In addition to the base plates, you will also need a compatible tow bar, safety cables, lighting, and supplemental braking to flat tow your vehicle. The most popular compatible tow bar is the Blue Ox Avail # BX7420. The great thing about this model is that it comes with safety cables. For lighting you can use...

  • Can 2015 Ford Edge Tow 3500-Lb Trailer
The weight of a trailer you are able to tow with your 2015 Edge depends on a couple of things. I have attached a chart from page 228 of the owner's manual that shows the maximum trailer weight you can tow based on the drivetrain and engine size. Although I was not able to find a reference to a transmission cooler being required, it is always a good idea to have a cooler installed when towing. I have attached a link to our product page for the transmission coolers we have that are a...

I took a look at the online owner's manual for a 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe, which is what our source is for towing capacities, and it did not mention a transmission cooler as part of its trailer capacity. It simply stated that with a brake system and with the trailer package you have a 5,000 lb capacity, so if you have the trailer package you have a 5,000 lb capacity. It is very odd the dealership cannot tell you what is in your vehicle though if you have the trailer package, the owner's manual...

  • Recommendation for Complete Towing Setup on a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander 3.9 Liter
I did some research on your 2007 Chevrolet Uplander and found that the maximum recommended towing capacity for this vehicle is 3,500 pounds. If your trailer is 2,600 pounds empty, you would be limited to 900 pounds or less of cargo. If 900 pounds of cargo sounds about right, you will need to check your hitch capacities and make sure it is capable of towing 3,500 pounds. You may find that a weight distribution system is needed to safely tow the maximum capacity with your vehicle. You should...

  • Hitch, Wiring and Ball Mount Kit for 2007 Chevrolet Uplander Towing Multiple Trailers
If your 2007 Chevrolet Uplander has the 121-inch wheel base then the easiest hitch install will come with the Curt 2-inch Class III hitch # 13336 since this option is a no-drill install. This hitch and the 1-1/4-inch Curt # C12336 are the only such no-drill hitches offered. If your Uplander does not have this 121-inch wheel base then the option I suggest is the Draw-Tite # 75278 which does require drilling but costs less than others. Written instructions for all referenced hitches are...

  • How To Determine If 2009 Pontiac Montana SV6 Has Long Or Short Wheel Base
To figure out if your 2009 Pontiac Montana SV6 has the short or long wheel base would be to measure from the center of the rear wheel to the center of the front wheel, or you can call your local GM dealer with your VIN and they should be able to look it up for you. If you get a measurement of 113" then you have the short wheel base, and if you get a measurement of 121" then you have the long wheel base. • Wiring for 2005 Chevy Uplander - which wire goes where?
We have a T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4 Pole Trailer Connector, part # 118396, for the 2005 Chevy Uplander that would make installation a breeze. If you are hard wiring in a wiring harness, you can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993, to identify each wire. You will need a draw bar, part # 2753 and a trailer ball. For a 2 inch ball, use part # 19247 for a 1-7/8 inch ball, use part # 19260. I am sure you are looking in the right place but there are two possible options for what you might see. If a loose connector is not behind the driver side trim panel in the cargo area of your 2007 Chevy Uplander then it may already be connected to the tail light wiring.
