Question:
I am ordering all the supplies and trailer hitch for my 2006 Buick Terraza form you guys and before I order the receiver, I want to make sure I get the right size up or for from the ground. So far the part numbers that Im ordering from you are, 75278, 18144, 118396, e98880. So all I am looking for now is the receiver for the ball make sure for height from the ground to the top of the receiver for the ball. I do have automatic leveling system if that makes a difference. I know I will have to loosen up compressor to install the hitch. Thank you,

You are on the right track with all of the components you are planning for your 2006 Buick Terraza but there is more information needed to determine what rise/drop ball mount you would need.
I attached an FAQ that details how to pick out the correct ball mount. Picking out the correct ball mount will allow your trailer to sit as level as possible. Basically you will first measure the height from the ground to the top of the receiver opening on the hitch while on level ground. Next, you will measure the coupler height from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when the trailer is on level ground.
Next, you will need to compute the difference. If the hitch height is greater than the coupler height the difference is the drop required. If the coupler height is greater the difference is the rise required. You will want to pick the ball mount with the rise/drop closest to the difference.
There really is not a maximum length of a ball mount that is considered safe. You will need to consider the height of your vehicle and not get one with a drop that would put the ball mount platform too close to the ground.
