Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at this Shocker Trailer Tongue Air Coupler. With the vertical channel mount. It has a 20,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this trailer tongue coupler, will add air ride technology to your trailer.

It'll help dampen any chucking and road shock. And it is great for heavy duty A-frame trailers from dump trailers to flat beds. I want to zoom in and show you some of the features of it. It has this air bag and the bump stops here. That'll work with this two and five sixteenths heavy duty, EZ-latch coupler to help reduce the damaging forces on your trailer and tow vehicle.

We've mentioned the channel mount. It is a vertical channel style mount here that will fit trailers with the three inch inside channel and the two inch on center bolt pattern. This is a shock absorbing trailer coupler. Features, we've mentioned, the industrial strength airbag, the cushion bump stops. It'll dampen the chucking and the road shock, and basically this air hitch, when it's installed, works like a seesaw with the air bag on one end and your trailer coupler on the other end.

Basically as your trailer will exert force upward, downward, backward, forward, the unit right here will pivot on this pivot bolt here, and then the airbag and the bump stops absorb the energy for a lot smoother ride. Does use grade 50 steel plate construction, which is shot blasted. And as you can see, powder coated to prevent rust. The airbag is easily adjustable for heavy loads. You have more air for lighter loads.

You let the air out. Right here is your air valve that you hook your air hose up to. And basically you will load the trailer the normal way. It will be towed. And then you just put your air hose on here and inflate the airbag till these bump cushions right here will start to compress. And if you notice on the pivot bolt on this end, they do have a grease zerk fitting on the pivot bolt, and that allows you to put a grease gun to that and help maintain. Put grease in there to help maintain that pivot point. We've mentioned up front here, it includes this Demco two and five sixteenths, 21,000 pound rated, EZ-latch coupler. And what's nice about the EZ-latch design, it'll let you look up to your hitch ball when it's in the closed position. You don't have to go out, open it up, hook it up, and then lock it. You can just leave it in this position. It'll drop right over the hitch ball. In other words, when you drop it on, it'll raise it up, put it back down and you're all ready to go. Makes it a lot easier to hook up. And it also is powder-coated prime paint finish gives you excellent corrosion resistance. This part is made in the USA. Again, we mentioned the application. This fits the three inch channel style tongue mount with the two inch on center bolt pattern. Has a gross towing weight capacity of 20,000 pounds A tongue weight capacity of 2,000 pounds. And the ball size this will fit on is a two and five sixteenths diameter.
