  • What Gauge Wire Should Be Used For Optronics STL17RB And STL16RB Tail Lights?
Hey Terry, thanks for reaching out. For the Optronics # STL17RB and # STL16RB tail lights 16 gauge wire is what I would use. For the brakes you will want to use at least 12 gauge wire. If it is a shorter trailer you can get away with 12 gauge, for longer trailers say 20' or longer you may want to up that to 10-gauge. We sell this wire by the foot if you need some. Take a look at the following: - Deka Jacketed 2 Wire, 10 Gauge, Brake Wire - per Foot # 10-2-1 - Jacketed 2 Wire (Brake Wire)...

  • Bonded 4-Wire Needed For A 7-Pole To 4-Pole Adapter
Hey Richard, If you're only needing the cable then I would go with either the Deka jacketed 4-wire # DW03240-1 or just bonded 4-wire # 16-4B-1, both of which you can order by the foot. From there you can splice the wiring into a 7-way connector # PK12706. You'd only connect the wires to ground, running light, right turn/stop, and left turn/stop terminals on the 7-way connector since that's all the 4-way would need.

  • How to Test Tekonsha Primus IQ Brake Controller that Stopped Working
Testing the brake controller is fairly easy. Sever the blue brake output wire near the brake controller leaving enough room to reconnect it and then apply the manual slide. Using a circuit tester like the Quickee Tester, part # PTW2993, you should get output to the controller side of the wire you severed. If the manual slide activates the trailer brake output wire properly, try the brake pedal. If the brake pedal activates the brake output properly also then the problem is farther back...

The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 referenced in your question uses 10 gauge wire for the 12V (black) and brake output (blue) wires and 12 gauge wire for the brake switch (red) and ground (white) wires. This is the case with all Tekonsha brand brake controllers.

  • What Gauge Wire is Used for Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO
Thanks for reaching out! The Demco SBS Stay-IN-Play DUO # SM99251 uses 16 gauge wire for those systems. I confirmed this with my contact at Demco. We have a variety of options available by the foot here on our site: Single Wire - # 16-1-1 3-Wire - # SWC6422-1 4-Wire - # DW03240-1 I recommend using 16 Gauge Butt Connectors # DW05744-10 for the most secure connection.

  • Availability of 18/6 Wire in Rubber Cable
The only 18 gauge wiring we have available is the Deka Bonded 3 Wire # DW02923-1, which is sold by the foot. This 3-wire bonded parallel wire has 16/30 stranding with a maximum voltage of 60V. If you are able to go a bit thicker we do also have the Deka 16/4 Gauge Wire # DW03240-1, which features four 16-gauge wires fully coated in a PVC jacket. This wire is also sold by the foot. I have attached a short video review that you can check out as well.

This will be 48 inches long and all the Easy-Pull Harnesses will come with 18 gauge wires for the brown (taillight), green (right turn and brake), and yellow (left turn and brake) wires and then the white (ground) is a 16 gauge wire. This will typically be the standard used with most manufacturers. If you wanted something more heavy duty, you will need assemble one. The Deka Wire - Jacketed...

  • Can I Get 100 Feet Of Bonded 4 Wire For My Trailer?
We do have options available for 4 wire for your trailer, but we do only have it as sold by the foot. With that said, for standard 4 wire, you will want the Deka # 16-4B-1. This is the bonded 16 gauge wire used on just about anything and you will just need to order the quantity as 100 to get the needed 100 feet section you require. However, we do also have the Deka Jacketed 4-Wire # DW03240-1. This is also sold by the foot and uses 16 gauge wires, but the jacket also offers more protection....

  • Recommended LED Tail Lights For 2017 Alto Safari Camper Trailer
I understand why you want to add additional lights on your camping trailer. I recommend part # STL78RB. This is an oval 6-1/2 inch LED light with the stop, turn, and tail light function. LED lights require much less power than incandescent lights. These are surface mount lights that have an overall measurement of 7-9/16 inches long, 3-5/16 inches wide, and 3/4 inches deep. This is a three-wire light. The wires have the following functions: Red for turn signal and brake, Black is for tail...

  • Recommmended 4-Way Flat Trailer Wiring for Cargo Carrier Light Strip on Travel Trailer
My recommendation for your application is to add a junction box like # 3375601101 which will allow you to connect another wire without "splicing in" on the trailer side and run wiring like # DW03240-1 for a longer run or # 16-4B-1 to the rear of your trailer and then use # HM48190.

  • Wiring to Connect 5-Flat on Trailer and 4-Round on Boat to 5-Flat on Tow Vehicle
Although we do not carry a wiring harness/adapter that will allow you to split the 5-flat on your tow vehicle to allow you to connect to both the 5-flat on the trailer and the 4-round on the boat, I have a solution for you. You will need the RoadMaster 4-Wire Connectors, # RM-910030-4, Jacketed 4-Wire (sold by the foot), # DW03240-1, and the Deka Heat Shrink Butt Connectors, # DW05745-5. I recommend that you splice into the wiring, behind the 5-flat on your trailer, in order to add the...

  • Options for 16 Gauge Wire to Power a 12 Volt Spot Sprayer in Bed of 2012 Ford F-150
We carry different types of 16 gauge wire. We have bonded 4-Wire, # 16-4B-1, jacketed 4 wire, # DW03240-1, bonded 3-Wire, # 16-3B-1, and single wire # 16-1-1. Each of these are available in increments of 1 foot. So if you needed 8 feet you would enter 8 in the quantity box for an 8 foot length of wire. I would over estimate it because it is better to have too much wire than not enough. You also might be interested in some heat shrink tubing # DW05744-10 to keep the splices water tight.

  • Is There a 4-Pole Female Wiring Connector Like the 3-Pole Bulldog Winch
The Bulldog Winch plug you referenced, part # BDW20178A, is specifically for their winches and we don't have a 4 pole version of it. If you're looking for a 4-pole trailer female connector you can use part # PK11402 which doesn't have the wire leads on it but you can add as much of part # DW03240-1 as you need since it's sold by the foot.

  • Installing Trailer Connector on RV for Towing Trailer
I'm assuming you're wanting to know how to wire your RV to tow a trailer, is that correct? This will depend on which trailer connector your trailer uses. If the trailer uses a simple 4-pole connector like part # 18004, you would install a 4-pole on the RV. If your RV uses a separate bulb behind an amber colored lens for the turn signals, you'll need to use a 4-pole with a converter, like part # C59236. If your RV uses the same bulb for brake lights and turn signals, with a red lens you'd...

  • Is there an Extension Cable for Replacement Digital Wall-Mounted Thermostat # AT15029
I did some checking but could not find an extension cable for Replacement Digital Wall-Mounted Thermostat # AT15029. The wiring would have to be extended the old fashioned way; by splicing in wires. I recommend using jacketed wire # DW03240-1 and butt connectors # 05731-5. The jacket will help protect the wires when you are performing the installation. This wire bundle is sold by the foot so for 20 feet change the quantity to 20.
