Question:
Hello, I have a 2017 Alto Safari camper trailer. The tail and turn signal lights are located high on the back end of the camper. I would like to install auxiliary tail lights on the bumper, so that the new lights would work in tandem with the factory lights. We have been rear ended once, and suspect that the tail lights might be mounted a little high. The camper has a bumper that would accommodate extra tail lights/turn signals. Thanks.

I understand why you want to add additional lights on your camping trailer.
I recommend part # STL78RB. This is an oval 6-1/2 inch LED light with the stop, turn, and tail light function. LED lights require much less power than incandescent lights. These are surface mount lights that have an overall measurement of 7-9/16 inches long, 3-5/16 inches wide, and 3/4 inches deep. This is a three-wire light. The wires have the following functions: Red for turn signal and brake, Black is for tail light, and White is for the ground.
For jacketed wiring I recommend part # DW03240-1. This is jacketed 4-wire and is sold by the foot.
The wiring butt connectors I recommend are part # DW05744-10. These are designed for 16-14 gauge wires and there are 10 in the package.
