My travel trailer has a hitch and I have a cargo carrier that I have added a tail light strip for better visibility it has a 4way trailer side plug but I don’t have a vehicle side4 way to plug into I would like to run up to the 7 way trailer harness and splice in is that feasible bottom of trailer is sealed can’t really get to tail light harness The light strip I added it is LED it’s like you might see on the back of a pick up truck below the tailgate above the bumper it has brake light tail light blinker built-in

My recommendation for your application is to add a junction box like # 3375601101 which will allow you to connect another wire without "splicing in" on the trailer side and run wiring like # DW03240-1 for a longer run or # 16-4B-1 to the rear of your trailer and then use # HM48190.
