The Tekonsha Primus IQ Trailer Brake Controller # TK90160 referenced in your question uses 10 gauge wire for the 12V (black) and brake output (blue) wires and 12 gauge wire for the brake switch (red) and ground (white) wires. This is the case with all Tekonsha brand brake controllers.
