You're getting ready to tow a trailer with a 4-way flat plug, but your vehicle has a 7-way blade socket. Instead of rewiring, you grab this adapter, plug it in, test the lights, and you're ready to roll.
If your vehicle has a 7-way blade socket and the trailer uses a 4-way flat plug, this adapter provides a fast, plug-in solution. This adapter handles the basic lighting functions so you can connect and tow without altering your factory wiring.

Hi, everyone. Steven here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at our TowSmart seven pole to four-way connector adapter. That's right, folks. So what you got here today is if you need to plug into the back of your seven-way on the backside of your vehicle, but you really need to then plug in, adapt that down to a four pole or four-way, this will get you covered. So you simply plug this into the vehicle side, and now your trailer that has that four pole, four-way connector can plug in here, and this adapts it down to that.
So if you look inside of there, you only have enough tabs needed, the four tabs. There's no center and there's no other ones either. This is simply just giving you a seven-way down to a four-way connector. (adapter thudding) It is made of a durable plastic, and of course, you got your finger holds here to pull it out (adapter thudding) and everything. It's more ergonomical as far as using it than some of the older styles that are out there as well.
Folks, that is gonna wrap it up for our quick look together at this seven to four-way connector adapter by TowSmart. I'm Steven. Thanks for watching.
I needed to connect magnetic trailer lightd to a Chevy Traverse to transport covered bikes on the hitch. This allows you to connect a 4 way flat connector to the 7 pin trailer connector on the car.
