Heavy trailers or bed loads can make the back sag and throw off how your vehicle handles. These SumoSprings Solo helper springs add up to 1,800 lbs of support at 50-percent compression to keep things level and steady. They help your factory suspension handle the weight so your front tires stay planted for better steering, braking, and headlight aim when towing or hauling.
Every road and load feels different, and these springs adjust as you go. They compress easily with lighter loads for a softer ride, then firm up as the weight increases—up to 80 percent compression—to prevent bottoming out. The microcellular urethane cushions bumps and vibration, keeping the ride smooth whether you’re running light or loaded down.

When a curve, crosswind, or uneven driveway tries to push you around, each SumoSpring works on its own to keep that side solid. This cuts down on sway and body roll so your vehicle feels planted and stable through turns or when loads aren’t evenly balanced.
These springs are made from microcellular urethane that stands up to oil, salt, and UV rays without wearing out. They work in temperatures from -25 F to 200 F and compress vertically instead of bulging sideways, so they won’t get damaged in tight spaces. With no air lines or pressure to monitor, they stay maintenance-free mile after mile.
Adding real suspension support shouldn’t mean tearing everything apart. These helper springs are custom-fit with a straightforward bolt-on design that installs without drilling. You can get them mounted with basic tools and be ready to haul again in no time.

Hello, neighbors. Welcome back. I'm Steven here at etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at the Sumo Springs Solo Custom Helper Springs for your rear axle. Now folks, this is a custom fit application. This will fit 2008 through 2021 Toyota Land Cruisers and 2008 to 2021 Lexus LX 570.
Now, make sure you check our fit guide here at etrailer.com. Go to the top center of the page. It's gonna be a yellow tab that usually says something like vehicle or car info. Put in your year, make and model. Make sure you're getting the right parts for your specific application.
Now these helper springs are a nice upgrade to your vehicle's rear suspension, and they're gonna give you a nice improved drive control and comfort. They will also help keep your vehicle level when you're towing or hauling a heavy load, and they do help absorb bumps and shocks and that kind of stuff when you're going down the road. They also minimize sway. They're gonna give you what's called progressive load control. So meaning this spring is gonna compress according to the weight of your cargo.
So it's just a nice, thick, heavy duty jounce style spring is what they call it. And it's gonna basically replace your factory one that you already have. That's your load stop, bump stop, whatever you're gonna call it. This will replace that one. It's made of a durable microcellular urethane, and it does work in temperatures from negative 25 all the way up to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
It resists damage caused by oil, road salt, UV rays, so you don't have to worry about these things rotting away on your anything like that. And they have minimal lateral expansion, meaning the springs are gonna compress vertically up or down to the sides. They're not gonna be easily damaged. They're not gonna, you know, they're not gonna compress sideways. They'll go just up and down, and that way they won't get damaged. Now again, they're maintenance free, no tubing, no air pressure lines to monitor, like with Air Springs and that kind of stuff. Again, a very simple no drill installation. You're simply replacing your factory bump stops with these. Now, these do have a weight capacity at 50% compression of 1,800 pounds. Keep in mind, you're not adding that much weight capacity to your vehicle. If your vehicle's ready for let's say, 5,000 pounds, this will not make it 6,800 pounds. It's still gonna be 5,000 pounds if that's what it's rated at. This again, is just a helper, and it's helping by 1,800 pounds. Folks, these have a nice limited lifetime warranty, and they are made here in the USA. Folks, that's gonna do it for our look today at these Sumo Springs. I'm Steven with etrailer.com. Thank you so much for your time.

Glad to hear the install wasn't too bad, Michael! Definitely let us know how the ride is once you take it out for a drive! What are you using your Van for? The tires look pretty beefy.

The springs are working exactly as expect. I have need up to the mountains numerous times and to Monerary to the Sea Otter bike fest. They have reduced the body roll and helped keep the truck stable on the mountain roads or when loaded down for camping. Im very pleased I added these Sumo Springs to my Tacoma.

Glad to hear they are helping, Cory! If you are feeling them going over speed bumps, I think taking one of the spacers out is a good idea. Especially if that is happening when you are unloaded. Speaking of which, what are you towing?

One of my favorite things to recommend Kevin, the feedback is always so great on what a difference they make! What are you mainly towing that needed the extra support?

Excellent, I also tow a 6x12 cargo trailer which the Sumos do a great job of maintaining a level ride. I also installed Sumos front and rear on my 32 Tiffin motorhome. It utilizes the Ford F53 chassis and I believe they compliment that chassis well. Im definitely a big Sumo fan.
