Your motorhome doesn't have to bounce and wander every time you hit bridge joints or crosswinds. These front RV shocks use custom twin-tube valving to reduce porpoising and body roll so you can hold a steadier line on the highway.
Long highway runs get tiring when your RV keeps bouncing front to back after pavement seams and bridge joints. Belharra shocks use a twin-tube hydraulic shock design with RV-specific custom valving to improve ride control and reduce porpoising and vertical movement. Your front suspension settles faster after road transitions, and your RV tracks down the lane with less repeated correction.
Expansion joints and broken pavement beat up a coach when factory shocks let sharp impacts come through too hard. These shocks use custom-valved twin-tube hydraulic construction to reduce harsh bumps while minimizing harsh road impacts compared to OEM shocks. The ride smooths out across rough sections, and passengers feel fewer hard hits through your cabin.
A tall RV puts a lot of motion into your front suspension when braking, turning, or dealing with crosswinds. These front shocks reduce body roll and brake dive while maintaining consistent tire contact with your road surface. Your coach responds with more controlled front-end movement when slowing down, changing lanes, or working through sweeping turns.
Replacing tired OEM shocks shouldn't turn into a suspension redesign when your goal is restoring ride control. Belharra shocks replace factory shocks using existing mounting points, and the installation type is a bolt-on replacement. Safe-T-Plus recommends replacing shocks in front pairs so damping stays balanced across the axle. With matched front shocks installed together, your RV responds more evenly through bumps, braking zones, and highway lane changes.
Many highway handling problems don't come from one suspension component alone, especially on larger RVs dealing with crosswinds, passing trucks, and constant steering correction. These front shocks are compatible with steering stabilizer systems for integrated handling improvements, so they fit into a broader suspension setup instead of working against it. When paired with a steering stabilizer system (sold separately), your RV keeps a more controlled feel through long highway stretches and uneven road conditions.

Hi everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look together at the Safe-T-Plus front OEM replacement Belharra Shock. Now this is designed to work with the 1999 to current Ford F53, and you see those gross vehicle weight ratings that this is designed to work with on those F53. So you have the 15,700; 16,000; 18,000; 20,500; 22,000; 24,000; and 26,000 gross vehicle weight ratings. So on custom fit parts such as this shock, I do recommend going through our vehicle fit guide here at etrailer, pop in the year, make and model of your vehicle, and answer any other questions that it might have for you.
And that fit guide will confirm if this works for you or if we have something comparable that will work for you. So this is a heavy due to replacement shock that's designed specifically for those F53s. And this is built to noticeably improve how your vehicle rides and handles. So it uses a twin tube hydraulic design with custom valving tuned for your RV weight and driving condition. So it's not just a generic shock, this is made for that type of application.
This particular shock is for the front of your RV and it's also compatible with steering stabilizer systems. If you want to further improve handling. One of the biggest benefits is gonna be ride control. It helps reduce that poring motion where the RV rocks forward and back, as well as this excessive up and down movement. So what that means for you is this is gonna give you a smoother, more stable ride overall.
It's also gonna keep your tires better in contact with the road, which improves traction and control. You're gonna feel the difference in a few ways. Fewer harsh bumps when you hit uneven pavement. Less body roll when turning and reduce front end dive when braking. All of that's gonna add up to better handling and more confidence behind the wheel, especially on those longer trips.
So this is designed for heavy duty use. It's gonna hold up well under those demands of larger RVs and extended travel insulation's gonna be straightforward as well. It's gonna be a bolt on replacement that uses your existing mounting points, so there's not gonna be any major modifications needed. This comes exactly as you see it. I think it's gonna wrap up our look today. One thing I did want to mention, if you want help with installation, we do have you covered. On this product page, typically underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our installer locator. Click that link, answer the questions that it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to do the install for you. Well again, my name's Andy. Thank you for joining me.
