I bought this licking mechanism as a way to ensure people couldn't get to the tools in my tool drawers I keep in the bed of my truck. It took me about 5 minutes to install and has worked flawlessly ever since. I wish I have gotten the electronic lock version I could open up with my key fob but for now this has been a great product and I would recommend it to anyone.
It does the job. If anyone really wanted to get into the bed of the truck they could easily but this is a good discourager. It is not a heavy duty lock but works
It was easy as reading the instructions to install! I was done in 10 minutes and the Pop & Lock works great. I don't think it would keep the determined theif from reaching for an equalizer bar, but most would move on to some easier prey.
This lock was so easy to install. The screw got me nervous because its one of those "once it goes it, you can't take it out" type bolt. I had it installed in 2 minutes flat and works perfectly. I was absolutely amazed on how fast the shipping was and I would definitely recommend e-trailer. My new supply store for all my trailering needs. Thank you so much.
Feels strong and was simple to install. I purchased this to keep the snatch and grab people from accessing things in my bed but It wont stop someone from stealing what they want out of it. I fiber glassed over the tailgate hardware so some cant just unscrew it. I thought about grinding the head of it off too. Sometimes you have to think outside the box.
Ordered this lock for my sons truck just before Christmas and was amazed our fast e trailer moved the transaction through. I received the product two days before Christmas way to go e trailer. The Pop Lock was just what my son was looking for it was easy to install and works perfect.

I was very happy to find a good quality product to solve the issue of locking my tailgate.
This is a great gadget! Works OK unless you have an add-on (chrome) bezel that has been bolted in. The bolt has to be removed to get the lock to work. My bad.
Lock is weak and can be opened when locked by pulling on tailgate handle! I expected this to be of much better quality!
It took longer to get the Pop Lock out of the package then it did to install it. Once it was intstalled it locked the tailgate handle as it should. My truck tailgate and tools are now secure under my tonneau cover. Outstanding!!
Nice Tailgate Lock. Very easy Installation... I didn't want to use the included one-way bolt so I replaced it with a regular bolt the same size. Didn't like the manufacturer's Pop & Lock sticker attached to the tailgate lock so I removed it. Removes very easily. Now it has a more stock look. At minimum it's not so noticeable with the Pop & Lock sticker removed. Overall I'm very pleased with my purchase.
An okay product for the random tailgate thief, but I doubt it would withstand a portable drill for more than 15 seconds. Needs to be seriously beefed up, perhaps like a Master lock.
Ordering was simple and accurate. Product came earlier than expected. Installation was easy and flawless. Great experience! Fits perfectly and works as stated.

I received this very fast from etrailer and installation was easy, only about 10 minutes. My only complaint like others I've seen in the reviews is that the 1/4 hex bolt wasn't included it only had the safety screw. If that bolt was included would've marked it excellent but was easy enough to run to the local hardware store. Overall very happy with how it turned out and with my experience at etrailer.

Perfect fit. I had no problem installing the part. EZ application and works perfectly.
It took me about 10 minutes to install. I now have a tail gate that locks and I can feel more secure while inside my camper.

The lock has held up well with no problems. It has he appearance of factory installed with easy installation. I also have an peace of mind that the tailgate is less likely to be stolen since it would take extra work to remove.

Works flawlessly, I have one on my other truck aswell, survived winter well, just a shot of PB blaster and it's still like new, make sure the little flap closes fully when truck is covered in salt and you shouldn't have any issues like me.
It’s going to work fine
I couldn’t get the screw to line up , I tried for 20 minutes or so thinking it was my new tailgate handle that was the problem but the bend in the pop lock was not quite 90 degrees after I tweaked it it lined up and went together first try.
My item arrived promptly as promised. The instructions made the installation a breeze. It functioned flawlessly. It was only 3 days from finding etrailer to the installation of my tailgate lock. I would definitely use etrailer again and would recommend it to my friends. Thanks for a job made easy.
Hey Josh - thanks for the emails. You guys are great at etrailer - for my recent order and my past orders. I was alittle disappointed in the pop and lock. First the screw that came with it striped out- that was partly my fault. Also I had to shave down the locking piece behind the handle because it wouldn’t turn without hitting the tailgate handle and the key wouldn’t come out. I did finally get it to work. So at least I can lock my tailgate now. Thanks again Dan
