Question:
I just had a cap installed on my truck bed thinking that the lock on the bed hatch would secure the cargo. What is the best device to lock the tailgate. I have a 2003 chevy 2500 hd 4 wheel drive truck

We can get you set up with a tailgate lock for your 2003 Chevy Silverado to secure your cargo, and the best option for a tailgate lock is from Pop & Lock. This is going to be the most secure lock for your truck because it has steel housing and steel trim, which is far sturdier than other locks, which use a flimsier plastic housing. The correct lock for your '03 Silverado is the following:
- Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL1100
The only other thing you will need, if your '03 Silverado is a Crew Cab with an 8 foot bed, is the Crew Cab Extension Harness # PL9510.
I have added links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like.
