We have a couple of different tailgate lock options for a 1996 Chevy S-10. First is the Pop and Lock Powered Lock, # PAL8150. This lock wires into the power door locks if present on the vehicle. Using the power door locks will lock or unlock the tailgate with the doors. I have included a link to the installation details for this lock.
The other option is a non-powered lock, # PAL1600. This lock comes with its own set of keys and is locked or unlocked manually. I have included a link to the installation details for this lock as well.
