Today we're going to be reviewing part number PK11851. This is the Pollak Single Pole Round Pin Trailer Wiring Socket. It's going to feature a nice, rugged design. It's going to be ideal for heavy-duty power applications. It's going to supply your power straight from the vehicle battery. So again, heavy-duty applications, supplying auxiliary power straight from the vehicle battery. It's going to feature a round removal pin for easy soldering.
It's going to be held on there with a couple of screws at the back. Now here up front, it's going to feature a nice, spring-loaded lid. This is going to feature a corrosion-resistant plating that's going to help keep any dirt and moisture out of that connection point. It's also going to feature a two-hole mounting design. If we take a measurement between the mounting holes center on center, it looks like that's going to give us a measurement of about 3 inches. Now, those mounting holes are going to measure 5/16ths of an inch by 7/16ths of an inch. This unit's going to have a current rating of 300 amps of continuous duty capacity. That's going to do it for today's review of part number PK11851.

This is a great heavy duty single pole connector. I use it for power transfer to my dump trailer. It handles the current requirement just fine. Solid construction had held up well to mud, dirt, and water. Definitely recommend this product!
Nice product
I used the plug and receptacle to connect my truck batteries to supply 12 volts to my camper. It is hooked up using one of the Ford up fitter switches to activate a starter solenoid that that supplies 12 volts through a 00 cable to the rear bumper receptacle. By using an up fitter switch it only works when the key is on but supplies the full 14 volts to the camper with little voltage drop. I can charge the camper batteries from the truck without the noise of running the camper generator. The camper has a 2000 watt inverter that I use when under way so don’t have to turn on the gas to run the frig in transit. The product works great with only one comment. The female receptacle( truck end) has a nice rubber boot for the feed cable but no such provision on the plug end so must be thoroughly tapped.
I needed a large electrical plug for a cake feeder on my ranch pickup. This worked perfectly.
Quality part. My only complaint is actually a suggestion; a template would have been handy. I spent 20 minutes creating a template to use for cutting out a hole for mounting directly in the body.

Ive installed one of the single pole receptacle on all three of or super duty trucks. Its so nice to be able to never worry about the dump trailer battery being dead. We also made jumper cables that plug into it so we can jump chippers and other machinery easily. This product has held up extremely well also. Still looks brand new after 1 year of use. There is a little plastic piece that is on the end of the pole inside the receptacle that fell off of all three receptacles. However, It doesnt seem to affect the function at all.
