  The lid of the Rampage Trail Can Locking Storage Box # RA86622 is really not designed to be slammed shut. There is an arm attached to the lid that would stop the lid from falling freely and slamming shut. The container and lid are made of steel, so while it surely could take a good bit of abuse, we recommend closing the lid as gently as possible. We made a video reviewing and using this storage box.   What you could use is a cable lock like the part # e98891 to secure the handle of the # RA86622 to the bed of your truck or trailer. You would just need to route the cable through the handle and then around something permanently attached to your truck or trailer.
