Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

The Hidden Hitch was extremely easy to install on my 2007 Honda Pilot. It arrived quickly and was a quality product. My experience with etrailer.com was very positive and I encountered absolutely no problems and no issues at all! I highly recommend etrailer and the Hidden Hitch.

AFTER SEARCHING MULTIPLE DISTRIBUTERS, I PURCHASED THE HIDDEN HITCH TRAILER HITCH RECEIVER FOR MY 2008 HONDA PILOT FROM ETRAILER. THEY OFFERED IT A GREAT PRICE AND FREE SHIPPING. I RECIEVED AN IMMEDIATE CONFIRMATION EMAIL AND ANOTHER EMAIL WAS SENT THE NEXT DAY CONFIRMING THE PART WAS SHIPPPED WITH A LINK TO TRACK THE DELIVERY. WHILE THE PART WAS IN ROUTE, I WATCHED THE INFORMATIVE INSTALLATION VIDEO ETRAILER OFFERED ON THEIR SITE. THE ITEM WAS DELIVERED IN LESS THAN 3 DAYS. THE TOTAL INSTALLATION TIME, START TO FINISH, WITH NO ASSISTANCE AND NOTHING BUT A SOCKET AND WRENCH, WAS LESS THAN 20 MINUTES! GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT SERVICE, I COULD NOT BE MORE PLEASED!

by:

This hidden hitch could not have been easier to install (after cleaning existing threaded holes in frame of dirt and rust) . It was shipped and arrived 2days earlier than promised with free shipping. Also only the reciever shows on pilot not the support. Could not be happier with E-trailer and hidden hitch.

Here's a photo of the completed project which includes my new Hidden Hitch and a Meadow Creek PR60 Charcoal Pig Roaster/Smoker. Towed it home this weekend and it worked like a charm! Bring on Summer!

by:

The Hidden Hitch installation was fairly straightforward. The hardest part was cleaning out the weld nuts on the passenger side of my Honda Pilot. I did not have to lower the muffler or the spare tire. The hitch fit in there without having to move those items. I spent most of my time cleaning out the weld nuts. Once I had those clean, the rest of it went fairly quickly. I like the way most of it doesn't show below the bumper.

  • What Vehicles Will the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 Fit
The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e98840 that you referenced will fit a 2014 - 2020 Acura MDX and a 2016 - 2022 Honda Pilot. If you have a different vehicle other than what is listed then please let me know what that is and I would be happy to see if we have a different trailer hitch that will work for you.

  • How To Carry A 300Lb. Scooter And 2 Bikes On A 2004 Honda Pilot
While using a hitch or trunk mounted bike rack, the heaviest bike will need to be on the first slot of the carrier closest to the rear bumper. No, tongue weight is used for any object or accessory attached to a trailer hitch receiver and unfortunately, there is no way to increase the tongue weight capacity of a hitch for hitch mounted accessories. There are also no fail safe or safety feature built into either the vehicle or hitch receiver when exceeding the recommended tongue weight...

  • Missing Bolt Holes For Hitch Install on 2006 Honda Pilot
Thank you for the photos of your 2006 Honda Pilot, but the center bolts are still needed to install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98851. What you will need to do - if you can - is drill the holes in the bumper beam, though I can't quite tell from the photo if you have the needed space available there at the bumper. Failing that, the best option for you is going to be to mount a different hitch that does not require you to use the bumper beam or center bolt holes, just the holes...

  • Adding a 7-Way Trailer Connector to a 2006 Honda Pilot
To add a 7-Way trailer connector to your 2006 Honda Pilot you will first have to install a 4-Way using # 118336. I have linked a video showing how it installs. Next, to add a 7-Way (and also retain the use of the 4-Way) you will need installation kit # ETBC7. I have included some links that show and explain the ETBC7 installation for you. For a brake controller, if needed, I recommend the P2 # 90885. This is one of our most popular controllers because of how easy it is to set up and...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for 2005 Honda Pilot
Both Curt class III trailer hitch, part # 13328 and the Draw-Tite Hitch class III trailer hitch, part # 75599, are quality hitches. But the most popular hitch for your vehicle is the Curt hitch, part # 13328. Installation is relatively easy, even for a beginner. The Curt receiver simply bolts on to the inside of each frame rail. Both hitches require about 40 minutes of installation time. The Curt hitch does use two extra screws to attach the center bumper bracket above the receiver behind...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation For 2007 Honda Pilot
The hitch I recommend for your 2007 Honda Pilot is the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75599. This is a Class lll hitch and has a 2 inch receiver opening. The installation requires no drilling so if someone is handy with tools they should have no problem installing the hitch. You do need to make sure whoever installs the hitch uses a torque wrench to make sure it is properly installed. I have included a link to an installation video for this hitch on a 2008 Pilot. • Trailer Hitch Compatibility for Honda Pilot and Acura MDX
Aftermarket trailer hitch fits for the 2005 Acura MDX and the 2005 Honda Pilot are indeed the same. Either vehicle can be fitted with three different Class III hitches, part # 75599 from Draw-Tite, part # 13328 from Curt and part 87454 from Hidden Hitch. If the rust is only on the surface you are fine, but if the rust is eating through the metal you definitely have a problem.
