Should Rusty Hitch of 2006 Honda Pilot be Replaced
Updated 05/16/2019 | Published 05/15/2019 >
Question:
I purchased this # 75599 back 08/16/2012 for my Honda Pilot 2006 EX 4WD, I noticed the rust start to shown and the black paint start to peal off. As for the life time warranty, does it cover the rusty part? Im afraid to haul stuff it might broke.

I wish I could say it covered rust as we know that's a pretty common occurrence for the hitches especially in Northern climates but unfortunately it does not. If you are unsure about the integrity of the hitch it would be a good idea to replace it with a new # 75599. If the rust is only on the surface you are fine, but if the rust is eating through the metal you definitely have a problem.
