Today we're taking a look at a replacement tail clamp assembly. Now this replaces a tail clamp assembly for Extang solid fold aluminum and solid fold 2.0 polypropylene truck bed covers for 1999 and newer Ford Super Dutys. It fits the Extang solid fold tonneau covers for 1999 and newer Ford Super Dutys with a six and a half foot bed. Part number EX56720 and with an eight foot bed. Part number EX56725. It also fits the Extang solid fold 2.0 tonneau covers for 19 9 and newer Ford Super Dutys with a six and a half foot bed.
Part number EX83720 and an eight foot bed, EX83725. This is a direct replacement part, straight from the manufacturer. Part number includes one complete tail clamp assembly and the product is made in the USA. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement tail clamp assembly.

After owning this topper and having to replace these clamps, I wish Extang could the wing side bars so they cant hang up inside the track preventing the clamp from ejecting. The wing springs are the problem, so Ive had to reorder twice since I got the topper 2 years ago.
The rear clamp on our Extang Solid Fold Tonneau Cover was broken and I wasn't sure how easy it would be to replace. But, etrailer made it very easy to find one at a good price. It was shipped quickly and arrived without delay. I installed it and we're back in business. It was a pleasure to deal with the people at etrailer.
Perfect fit for my OEM part. Easy to order and delivered when they said it would be. This is my second replacement order from this company and I have had a very good experience both times.

It has been a year and my replacement part are holding up just fine. These parts take a lot of abuse and I anticipate getting another couple of years of use before I need to replace it again.
Package arrived as expected and part was of good quality. No installation instructions but not hard to figure out. I had to cut slots in the rail to install. Not the easiest thing to do unless you have the right tools. I put the slots in the center of the rail so the clamp would not come out accidentally during normal use. Now I can easily remove/replace as needed. This is a little larger than the clamp on the other side so I am guessing the EX1035 would have worked on my F250 just as well as this.
As far as I know, Etrailer is the only company that handles this tail clamp for Extang covers. They ship quickly and are well packaged.

I have these in the back of my tonneau cover and I remove my tonneau cover quite often so I bought these to switch out the front also
I used this to replace my other clamps, works awesome on my Cover, minor modification installed with ease , snaps into rail takes me seconds to undo and fold up cover and recover
