VERY IMPRESSED WITH TIMELY DELIVERY AND PRODUCT. WOULD ORDER AGAIN IF I NEEDED ANOTHER ONE.

Excellent service and very fast delivery of a great product. Very happy with my purchase. I think the install should go well too due to the very detailed and helpful install videos for my specific vehicle.

Toyota Highlander

I ordered this for our Highlander. The hitch is well built. I like the fact that it has more bolts holding it to the vehicle than some of the other hitches that I looked at. I received helpful customer service when I called. I needed it quickly and they delivered right on time.

by:
2008 Toyota Highlander

I have purchased with etrailer 5-6 times. As always great item shipped fast. This is the 4th hitch i purchased through them. This time they just stretched wraped, no box. I recieved the next day, but it was dragged and the paint on most of the edges was rubbed off.

by:
2011 Toyota Highlander

Wow, I couldn't believe how easy this was to install. the hardest part is having an extra set of hands to help mount the first bolt. it was fast and easy. Customer service was also fantastic.

by:

Not sure of it is the cars fault or the hitch, but one mount.hole did not line up. I needed to widen the mount hole for hitch to fit. Once it was mounted, it was great.

by:
2012 Toyota Highlander

The hitch/wiring harness fit perfect for my 2012 Highlander just as etrailer advertised. The directions were spot on! This is my third purchase from etrailer and I wouldn't shop anywhere else.

by:

Great product, simple to install. But then again, this is the third trailer hitch I have installed from etrailer and I have been happy with all of them.

by:

Hitch was made very strong and fit very well. The instructions to install were accurate and complete. Hardware was all present and of good quality.A friend and two jackstands helped me to install. Also, put back of car up on 4 inch ramps.

@Jack That is great to hear, and I see the install wasn't too bad for you! What are you mainly using the hitch for?

by:

The hitch has served us well over the last 5 months and may have saved us some rear end damage when my wife was rear-ended 2 weeks ago.

I was not sure how difficult the trailer hitch installation would be after reading some reviews. My older small-build daughter was able to assist me with the installation. It would be much more difficult to do it alone. The hitch is heavy enough that I would not have been able to keep it aligned long enough to insert the bolts. With my 105 lb. daughter's help, we made short work of it.

by:
2008 Toyota Highlander

I needed to use a torque wrench to get the bolts tightened down. Some of the bolts were difficult to get totally attached however with the torque wrench I was able to fasten them.

by:

The hitch fit perfectly and has come in very useful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the courier had beat the product up pretty bad. By the time I received it, the shrink-wrap,(which was the main packaging) had been torn through and the powder coat job on the hitch was chipped and compromised along any corners or ends of the hitch. As a result, the first thing I had to do was grind it down and re-paint these areas before I installed it.
Other than the fact that you could provide better shipping cushion, or choose a more careful shipper, the hitch has held up well and the install could not have been any more straight forward.

by:

There are a three things that really stood out for me. First, the installation instructions were easy to follow and involved little "trial and error". Although having three people guide the hitch into place for initial attachment is recommended. The wiring harness was easy-peasy! Second, I use this hitch mostly for pulling light loads around town, but, the week after installation I pulled a 12' tandem-wheel cargo trailer full of furniture over 800 miles through three mountain passes without a problem. Third, and more service related, the self-help tips on etrailer's website are invaluable.

2019 Toyota Highlander

I bought this to put on my 2008 Toyota Highlander Sport. It's a very nice, well built hitch. It fit perfectly, even with my full size, 19 inch, spare tire. The only complaint I had about it was the packaging. The box arrived via the brown truck and was torn at both ends by the edges of the hitch, which caused the hitch to have a few nicks and scratches to the paint. The delivery driver even apologized for it. I contacted etrailer.com via email. Their customer service was great, responding in just a few hours. We worked out a solution. This hitch is very well made. It's welded together and the bolt holes lined up perfectly with my Highlander's. It's heavy and awkward, so I do recommend two people to put it on. Installation was easy...my 13 year old nephew helped me. You could probably put it on by yourself, but two people make it easier as you have to lift it over the exhaust pipe. The video tutorial was definitely a plus! One thing I had to do that the video didn't show was to remove the cover on the tip of the exhaust pipe. I know not all models have one, but the sport models do. It's easy to remove by loosening the bolted on clamp. I didn't have to lift the rear of the Highlander up, either. There is plenty of room to get underneath the vehicle to work and do this (I'm a big guy). The hitch also has a plate welded onto it near the receiver so you can attach a mounting bracket for the wire harness if you want to run it to the outside of your vehicle. I used the mounting bracket (Item 18144) here: . It comes with locking screws and fits perfectly. Overall, this is a solid hitch that is priced well and looks great! I had thought about buying the OEM from Toyota, but I'm glad I didn't. This one is just as good (if not better) at only a quarter of the cost and I didn't have to pay anyone to install it. I will definitely be doing more business with etrailer.com! Great prices and customer service you can't beat! P.S. Sorry, but it was raining a little when I took the pics.

I love this hitch! I had never bought or installed one before and this was very doable with a buddy to help hold it up. Fit perfectly and holds my bike rack no problem.

by:
2010 Toyota Highlander

Bought the Draw-Tite trailer hits together with the Swagman XTC4 4-bike rack. Bought based on reviews on e-trailer and other sites that this is a sturdy and good-working combination for carrying 4 bikes.
* Delivery: Fast (<5 days)
* Packaging: Package had holes, which is not unusual as the box with the hitch has a lot of empty spaces. Others had same issue, but nothing to worry about. The hitch cannot really break easily and the hardware is safely stored in the 2inch receiver.
* Installation: Very nice video instructions on etrailer. Installation really can use two people, but it's fairly easy with two people. Had some problems with one of the nine screws to bite although I did a try run before mounting the hitch. Worked after some minutes of wiggling the hitch so that the screw got the correct angle to bite.
* Usage: Installed the day of delivery and used it the next day. It's the first time I used a trailer hitch and for sure the first time I used to carry 4 bikes. Stopped looking in the rear-view mirror after 1 minutes seeing that it's barely moving at all. So with a limited use so far I can confirm other's reviews of this combination and I think it works great. Recommended.

2008 Toyota Highlander

2008 Toyota Highlander. Drawtite 75726 hitch. Easy installation. 9 bolts total. One bolt wouldn’t line up until I torqued all the other ones in place. Use a torque wrench. Instructions said 42ft lb, so that’s what I did. Perfect fit with 19” spare tire and wheel. I kept the spare in place for trailer hitch installation; no problem whatsoever.
Followed the instructions to completely remove the driver side plastic wheel well piece. The passenger side was removed for installation of hitch, and then reinstalled.

by:

Easy install. Fits perfectly. I should have put it on a long time ago.

2009 Toyota Highlander

Research has brought me to etrailer.com to find the best hitch for my vehicle. I own a 2009 toyota highlander which is the hybrid limited model. I choose this hitch particularly because of the added tongue weight. 750 or 500 lbs... you decide which is better. This hitch has extra mounting tabs, so it doesn't just mount to the bottom of the frame but also the sides of the frame. It took 2 days to receive and less time to install. 45 minutes with 2 people. Do note that if you
have mud guards than they must come off. I didn't remove the tail pipe to install, just man handled the hitch over it. Also, there is a tab on the back side of the facia in front of the exaust tip that has to go under the hitch. The bolts included with the hitch were a different size than what the manual says. They aren't 17mmm, they are 16mm. Overall the install went well so don't be intimidated by it if your not mechanicly inclinded. The wiring was really easy to install and as you can see in the picture I ran it through a hole in the body. I cut a small slit in the grommet and gently pushed the small end through so that any water won't come through. Worked like a charm. This was an aawesome experience!

by:
2013 Toyota Highlander

Finally, the hitch mount is installed on my 2013 Toyota Highlander, you would need 10mm, 14mm, and 16mm, and 6" socket extender. In the manual, it said you need, 10mm, 12mm, and 14mm. Installation was easy, only 9 bolts, two persons makes job easier but i did the installation by myself. It took one hour or less. The hitch fits my vehicle steel frame bolts patterns perfectly so no issue with the install.

by:

Tight fit but works great. Lined up with the Highlander holes just right.

by:
2013 Toyota Highlander

Had no trouble installing the hitch or wiring harness. The video helps a lot. Instead of having the lights connector lay in a tray I chose to use the plugged hole that was below the side tray and have the cable mounted outside the vehicle.

by:
2009 Toyota Highlander

Installed with aid of the video. Hitch fit perfectly. My 19 inch spare tire fits like it should with no interference from the hitch. Paint was peeling on one of the arms that attach to the frame, I will go back and touch it up later. My highlander is a 2009 sport, original owner. I am 75 years old, so if I can install, you can too.
