Question:
I wonder id the hitch sticks out like a very sore thumb, or is it close to the body and does not look like after thought which might work, please?

Curt hitch # C11368 will be partially visible on your 2016 Kia Forte. The receiver will be visible and part of the crosstube. But the vehicle sits pretty low to the ground meaning that it would only be visible at certain, low angles.
Of you are looking at hitches because you need to carry bikes then you might consider a trunk mount rack instead. With a trunk mount rack there is no hitch and there is no permanent installation. You can put the rack on and take it off as needed. I have linked the options that fit your vehicles.
