Video Transcript for Review of Trimax Locks Trailer Hitch Lock - Adjustable Receiver And Coupler Lock Set - TMX53SR

Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a real quick look at this Trimax adjustable receiver and coupler lock set. Now, this kit's going to include the locks for your trailer coupler latch, and your trailer hitch receiver. Everything's going to be keyed alike for your convenience and security. You are going to get four keys, and one key's gonna run the show here.

So first you're gonna get this trailer hitch receiver lock that's going to fit all of your two inch trailer hitch receivers. The half inch diameter is gonna fit class three receivers, and then the included steel (steel rod taps) five eighths of an inch sleeve is going to allow this lock to fit class three, four, and five receivers. And so, this is gonna be very easy to lock and unlock. We do have this tethered rubber cap on this lock, and it's got a really good seal on it, so it's gonna do a great job of protecting that key way from the elements. A quarter of a turn, it's going to unlock this, and then you'll just slide the sleeve in, on rather if you need it.

The pin itself is going to be steel, and the sleeve is steel, but the heads of this lock are going to be aluminum. So this is going to be very durable. It's gonna hold up really well for you. Both of these locks have an advanced locking cylinder, so it's gonna be harder to pick, typically, and drill, than standard locks. And, the tube keys are gonna be more challenging to duplicate.

So again, your trailer hitch receiver pin lock, and then your adjustable coupler lock. This is going to fit coupler latches with spans from seven eighths of an inch, two and a half inch, or three and a half inches. So you've got that flexibility and adjustability. So again, that's going to do a great job of holding up against the wear and tear of daily towing, regular towing. I do also wanna point out that the measurement of our trailer hitch receiver lock overall, is gonna be about six inches, and then that usable span is gonna be about two and three quarters inches, without that sleeve on there.
