Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 hitch with two ball mount for your 2 1/2 inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into 2 1/2 inch receiver, making this compatible with a wide range of towing setups. This is going to give you versatility in terms of vehicle and trailer configurations. This is going to give you a 2 inch and a 2-5/16th inch double-sided stainless steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy, so you can tow different types of trailers.

Whether you're towing a small utility trailer, an RV, a boat, or a heavy duty equipment trailer, that dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for multiple hitches. Now, when you have the shank in this orientation, this is going to give you a maximum drop of 10 inches. When you flip it over, you'll get a maximum rise of 11 inches with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So this height adjustability is going to allow you to tow trailers of different heights all with the same vehicle. Now, with the 2-5/16th inch hitch ball, this has a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds.

With the 2 inch ball, it's going to be 8,000 pounds. And then this unit does have a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. This hitch is constructive aircraft grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability. This features a premium black Cerakote finish. It's a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability.

So, not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your truck, but if you happen to tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to help protect this hitch. It's going to continue to look great. It's also going to make sure that this hitch works properly for many years to come. Now, one of the highlights of this hitch is this dual pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball size is very simple. Let me give you a brief demonstration of how easy this is going to be to use.

So, I'm gonna insert one of the four keys that's included with this. Give it a turn. And then, that's going to allow me to unlock this and remove it. While I have it removed, I wanted to show you that our pins here, these are durable aluminum along with the housing, but our lock is plated steel. So, this is going to hold up really well for you as it secures your ball platform to the hitch. It's also gonna be resistant to corrosion, so you're not gonna have to worry about this getting affected by the conditions, the elements that it's going to be constantly exposed to. But I really wanted to highlight just how smoothly the ball platform slides up and down the shank. So, this is going to be very easy to not only adjust the height, but also the tow ball size as well. And then, another added feature that I wanted to highlight is this is stowable. So, if you find out that you're not gonna be towing for a while, you can easily put the ball platform in this position here, behind the shank, underneath the receiver when you have this installed. So, that's going to allow you to not worry about banging up your shins when you're walking behind your truck. Obviously, you'll replace the dual pin slider lock to lock this ball platform into place. (metal clanking) So, that's a great added feature that's included with this. Lemme go ahead and put my 2 inch ball in position here. I'm gonna rotate this and just line up my holes. And then, that's going to allow me to easily put in that lock. And then, we do have this rubber cover here that's going to protect that keyway. So, as I hope you can see, this is going to be very easy to adjust. You're not gonna be at the back of your truck struggling to get that height adjustment you're looking for or that ball size that you're looking for. And then, another added benefit to this is going to be this hitch lock that's included, and it's gonna be very easy to operate. You are going to get four keys. All the keys are keyed alike. So, one key is going to operate the dual pin slider lock, and then that same key is gonna operate the hitch lock. So you can use one key for everything, and then you'll basically have three keys as backups. And what I really appreciate about this is you have really maximum theft deterrent with this investment that you're protecting. So, your ball platform will be locked up and secured to the hitch, or to the shank rather. And then, the hitch pin lock will secure this to the back of your truck. Lemme give you some measurements. Measuring from the center of the first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, about 8 1/2 inches. And then, from the second hitch pin hole about 9-5/8ths inches. And then, from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of our shank, above 1-7/8ths inches. So if you're looking for a hitch, that's going to be really a great long-term investment for you, that's going to give you a lot of flexibility and durability, especially with this premium finish.
