Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe 180 Hitch with 2-Ball Mount for your 2-1/2-inch trailer hitch receiver. This 180 hitch is going to slide into your 2-1/2-inch hitch receiver, and it's going to make this hitch compatible with a wide range of towing setups. This is going to give you versatility in terms of vehicle and trailer configurations. You're going to get a two-inch and a 2-5/16-inch double-sided chrome-plated steel tow ball, making switching tow ball sizes very easy, so you can tow trailers of different types, whether it's a small utility trailer, up to an RV, a camper, a boat, or even a heavy-duty equipment trailer. This dual functionality is going to eliminate the need for you to have multiple hitches.

Now, when you have the shank in this orientation, you're gonna get a maximum drop of 10 inches, when you flip it over, a maximum rise of 11 inches, with an incremental adjustment of one inch, and so this is going to give you that adjustment that you need so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. Now, with the 2-5/16-inch hitch ball, you are going to get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds, with the two-inch ball, 8,000 pounds, and then this is going to give you a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. This hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, giving you superior strength and durability, and this features, in my opinion, a very premium, good-looking black Cerakote finish, and this finish is a ceramic coating that's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So, not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your vehicle, but if you happen to tow in harsh environments, such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is going to help protect this hitch and it's also going to stay looking great, while also continuing to function properly for many years to come. Now, this also features a dual-pin slider lock that's going to make adjusting the height and switching the tow ball sizes very simple.

So, you're gonna get four keys here. I'm gonna take one and turn it, and then that's going to unlock our slider lock and allow me to easily slide that out. While I have this out, I do wanna show you that the pins here are durable aluminum along with the housing, and our lock is plated steel, so this is really a durable piece of equipment here that's going to make sure that your ball platform is secured to your shank here and you're not gonna have to worry about corrosion or anything like that. But what I really wanted to show you and I'm really impressed by is just how easily the ball platform slides up and down our shank, so you're not gonna have to worry about this binding up or anything like that. It's gonna be very easy to adjust.

Also, I wanted to show you that if you find that you're not gonna be towing for a while, this is stowable, so you could stow this just like this underneath your vehicle. Of course, you would just line up the holes and replace the dual-pin slider lock to secure this in place, but you're not gonna have to worry about running behind the back of your truck and accidentally banging up your shins on this ball platform because it's stowable, so that's a great feature that's included here. And then I'm gonna go ahead and just set this on my two-inch ball, just like that, and then replace our slider lock. So, all you gotta do is line up the holes, it's gonna smoothly slide into place, and then it's locked, and then I'm just gonna replace our rubber cover here that's gonna protect that keyway. So, you're not gonna be at the back of your truck struggling to get the height adjustment or the ball size that you're looking for, it's gonna be a very simple, very quick adjustment, and then you can be on your way.

I also wanted to point out one of my favorite features here is this included hitch pin lock. So, as I mentioned, you're going to get four keys. It's all keyed alike, so one key is going to control our dual locking pin and our hitch pin lock. So, you'll basically have three extra keys as backup, so you're not gonna have to worry about different sets of keys for each of these locks. And really, what I really appreciate about this is the built-in theft deterrent that we have here. So, your ball platform's gonna be secured to the shank and then this entire unit will be secured to your trailer hitch receiver, so this is really gonna be a great way that's built-in to protect this investment that you're making in this premium hitch. So, lemme give you a few measurements just so you can be confident this is gonna work for you. Measuring from the center of our first hitch pin hole to the center of our ball, we're sitting at about 8 1/2 inches, from the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches, and then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So, if you are looking for a hitch that's going to be really a great long-term investment for you, that is going to give you a lot of flexibility, safety, durability, especially with this finish that's included with it, and as you saw, it's gonna be very easy to use, this is really gonna be an excellent item for you to consider.
