Question:
Is the PingMaster 3000 enough, or should I step up to the 5000 models?

Megan, it really comes down to how often you want location updates. The PingMaster 3000 w/ WiFi Backup # PM84FR provides 3,000 guaranteed pings from the battery, which can last around 7+ years at 2 pings per day. If you want more frequent tracking or long-term coverage with heavier use, the PingMaster 5000 models # PM64FR or # PM74FR give you extra headroom with 5,000 pings. PingMaster says these usually last about 12+ years at 2 pings per day.
All three offer instant motion alerts - it’s mainly about ping capacity and whether WiFi backup matters for your storage situation. How often do you plan to check in on your trailer? And how often does it get used?

thanks Andrew. The trailer only gets used a few weekends a year and sits most of the time.
