Today we're going to be taking a look at the K Source Custom Extendable Towing Mirror. This is an electric mirror for the driver's side. It fits a 2002 to 2008 Ford Van. The extendable towing mirror replaces the factory side view mirror on your vehicle. What this does is it eliminates the need for a snap on or strap on mirror that you constantly have to put on and take off. This does feature the telescoping function. It's going to make it easier to see around the side of your trailer so you can safely change lanes, pass, and park.
So you can see how that telescopes out, which is going to extend your lines of sight, and it pushes back in. That's going to be able to adjust by up to 3". So you pull the mirror away from your vehicle to extend your line of sight by 3", and then push the mirror back into place when you're not towing. You can adjust the mirror face by using the power mirror adjustment from the factory controls inside the vehicle. Then here at the bottom it's got the built in spotter mirror that helps reduce blind spots. The hinge design allows you to fold the mirror up against the vehicle for parking or for fitting into tighter spaces.
The housing is a nice textured black plastic housing. Really nice, durable design. This is custom fit for your vehicle. It's a simple no-drill installation. The mirror's going to use the factory connection for the electric function, so your harness right there. And it's going to use the same footprint, and same mounting points as your factory mirror.
It does come with that foam gasket, goes over here for a nice tight seal, and it's going to come with some new hardware as well. This is just going to include the driver's side mirror. When it comes to the mirror face dimensions that's going to measure by 8-1/8" tall by 7" wide. Overall length when it's fully extended is about 20-1/2". Retracted is about 17-1/2", and the blind spot mirror height is going to be 2", and it's going to have the same width as the main mirror face. It is FMVSS approved, and please note that you cannot upgrade to a power mirror if your OEM mirror is not already equipped with that function.
