Today we're going to be taking a look at the Oregon State Beaver's 2-inch hitch cover from AMG. The hitch cover is going to allow you to show your school pride. It's also going to add a clean, finished look to your hitch, and it's going to help keep dirt and grime out of the receiver tube of your hitch. The hitch cover is made from a steel construction. It's going to feature a really nice black powder coat finish, which is going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion. Here on the front, we have the chrome plated metal emblem.
It's got a nice rust proof and fade proof design. The product is American made. Here on the backside, we've got a foam gasket that goes around the piece that slides into the receiver tube of our hitch. That foam gasket is going to help reduce rattling between the hitch and the hitch cover. This is an officially licensed product. When installing it, it does require a hitch pin and clip or a hitch lock to get it fully secured in the hitch.
Those items are sold separately, but if your interested in one, you can find them here at etrailer.com. The pinholes on this hitch cover will accept a standard 5/8" diameter pin. A few measurements to go over with you real quick, starting with the overall width, that's going to give us a measurement of around five inches, overall height, that's going to measure about three and a half inches. Then, the distance that we have from the back of the foam pad to the center of the hitch pinhole is going to be pretty close to two and a half inches. This is designed for a two inch by two inch hitch.
It's a very simple installation. You just slide it into the receiver tube of your hitch, line up your pinholes, and secure it with the hitch pin and clip or the hitch lock. That's going to do it for today's look at the Oregon State Beaver's 2-inch hitch cover from AMG.
