Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to be taking a look at the replacement side mirror for your Ford van. This is going to fit the 2010 through 2014 Ford van, so it's going to be a direct replacement, it should match exactly with what you had from the factory. So if that original mirror got knocked off, dented, something happened, maybe gotten a small fender bender or something like that, this is going to be that replacement mirror that you need to get back out on the road and see what's going on around you safely.The nice thing about this is that it's going to have the exact same footprint as that original mirror, so we don't have to do any kind of cutting or drilling. It's also going to still have a wiring hookup to make it really easy to get that wiring plugged in, so you can still use all the controls inside your van to adjust that mirror face, so you're not losing anything as far as functionality there.

It just plugs right into your factory wiring, there's no cutting or slicing with that. Really easy to install, this guy. Just take the old one off, put the new one on. It does come with new hardware, so we'll get new flange nuts to attach this in. So it should be a nice new system to use with our van.As far as the mirror face, it is going to be a convex lens to give a greater field of view.

So I get that little warning at the bottom that objects are closer than they may appear. It's just to help give you a wider field of view, kind of expands your view of what's going on behind you to eliminate blind spots, pretty typical for your passenger side, and then you do also have that blind spot mirror in the top corner, and that'll help to eliminate any other blind spots for kind of further out.It does, again, allow you to adjust with your factory wiring, so pretty easy to use. Now, with the power function, if you didn't already have a power adjust mirror, this isn't going to give you any functionality that you didn't already have, so keep that in mind. This is just going to get you back to what you had originally, so if you didn't have power mirrors, and they we're manual before, you would have to have that wiring to plug into, so it's not going to upgrade you in that respect.But again, have a full pad to go over our mirror face or the attachment point, so it'll dampen any kind of road noise. Outer housing, nice black plastic, so it should match our original trim, and all that good stuff.
