Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael, with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the K-Source custom extendable towing mirror. This is going to extend the line of sight you have when you're pulling a trailer so that you can more easily and safely change lanes, pass other vehicles or park, anything that you need to do, where you need to see where your trailer is to make sure that it's all safe.This is going to help you achieve that. This is a custom fit for your 2002 through 2008 Ford van. It is going to replace the factory passenger side, side view mirror on your van.
And one of the benefits of having a mirror like this over some of your other towing mirror options, like your snap on or strap on mirrors is that this is going to be a permanent option. Whereas, those are a temporary option. So anytime you want to tow, you'd have to snap those on or strap them down. And then when you're done towing, take them off.This is going to be very easy to use. It's going to be one less thing you have to worry about when you're towing.
This does have the telescoping function. So it will pull out up to three inches to give you a better view of your trailer. And then when you're done towing, you can simply slide it back together and you'll be in your normal function for your van.This does also have the hinge design. If you we're going into a parking garage or another smaller parking space, you needed to have a little bit more room. You can fold this mirror up against the side of your van so that you can fit into those tighter spaces.
This also is compatible with the power mirror adjustment. That's going to let you change the mirror-face position with the factory power controls inside your van.Now keep in mind that it's only going to work. If your van already has those functions. This mirror is not going to add those to a van that does not already have them. You can see at the bottom, we do have our built-in spotter mirror.
That's going to help reduce our blind spots as well. The whole thing is made of a very durable plastic with a black textured finish. So it's going to look nice and it's going to hold up very well for us. As far as installing it, it's going to be extremely simple. You'll remove your old mirror. This is going to plug into the same electrical wiring, and it's going to have the same footprint it's going to mount in the exact same place as your existing mirror. All the hardware is included that you're going to need to get it installed. So really you're just going to have to pull the old one off, put this one on and you're ready to go.Our mirror-face dimensions. It's going to be eight and one eighth of an inch tall by seven inches wide. Our blind spot mirror. There is about two inches tall. When we have our mirror fully extended out the distance from the edge here to our van is going to be about 20 and a half inches.When we have it retracted like it is now it's about 17 and a half inches. Again, giving us that three extra inches when we pull it out. This is FMVSS approved. And it does come with a 90-day warranty from K-Source.Well keep in mind this is just the passenger side mirror. I have to tell you that these mirrors are great. After a little time installing them, I have no problems with them. When they are extended out, there is very little to no vibrations of the mirror. I would recommend this mirrors 100%.

My van ended up being an early 2002 so the mirrors did not fit. I had no problems returning them and ordering the correct ones. etrailer has excellent customer service and Paula was great.

These mirrors were and exact fit, lock like factory, easy to install. They have only been on for a couple days. From the time of unpacking to installation they just seem well built, heavy duty, time will tell about the electronic parts. I would defiantly buy these again.
These mirrors are great. Easy installation, good instructions. Much nicer than my factory mirrors, as the blind spot mirror is adjustable.
The K Source mirrors fit like factory, and have worked well for the past year. My only reason for not giving them 5 stars is that the passenger side has a narrow view, in my opinion. The etrailer recommendation was very good and saved me over $200 from factory prices.
Fits like the OEM mirrors, looks good after a year installed and works like advertised. Makes a big difference when towing my 5th wheel! I’ll use etrailer again and that’s my best compliment!
I used videos from [another site] for information on removing the door panels to access the mounting point of the old mirrors. With the old mirrors removed installation of these replacement towing mirrors was smooth and accomplished in 45 minutes. They look great and improve the viewable field.
Great product but be prepared to do some wiring as the quick connects on the wiring harness do not match up. I simply cut the old connecter off of my old mirror and rewired it to the new one so that I can unplug it if necessary. all in all great product.

I ordered on a Monday, it was promised by Thursday, and it came on Wednesday!! They fit perfectly!!
This was the longest hitch ball mount I could find anywhere. I used it with a short extension for my 2021 T G so that I could open the back doors without hitting the trailer wheel crank. With my new trailer, Intact Flyer Discover, I don't need the extension and can still open the doors. Works well.

I haven’t installed them yet they look and feel like good quality just what I was looking for
I bought these in anticipation of someday pulling a trailer and also because someone hit my drivers side mirror and they stopped and paid me for replacement!
The upon arrival I was impressed with the shipping and packaging, the instructions and ease of installation was great too! I installed the drivers side first and did the passenger side a few weeks later, probably should’ve upgraded my speakers at the same time.
The initial install of the drivers side was great, I now fold it in when parked on the street. Upon installing the passenger side I notice a different viewing experience or field of vision vs the stock unit, this one feels narrower in view, also the power adjust doesn’t adjust the convex mirror. Also the viewing height of the convex isn’t as desirable as I’d like. A short sedan relight next to be or a high SUV in my blind spot can’t both be seen or adjusted for ibread online where someone installed a long oval convex mirror they bought at a truck setup over the half curved one that comes with the unit.
All in all I’d say it’s a fair value and I didn’t see any on the market that I would’ve rather have had.
I put these on my 2010 E350 van. Excellent product! Better mirrors than stock mirrors. Better quality and more sturdy than stock mirrors. Fairly easy to install and extend when needed for seeing your trailer, especially on the passenger side, no need to add "strap on mirrors. worth the money at a very fair price(much less expense than the dealer). I highly recommend.
The website was very easy to navigate. I originally put what I wanted in my cart however I returned the next day to place the order and when I did I wasn't able to check the 2-day shipping. Shipping is actually free for this product but I wanted to select the two day shipping so that I could get these installed quicker. I ended up having to call etrailer and I spoke with Melissa. Melissa was able to cancel my order And open it with the 2-day shipping selected. She was very helpful and very knowledgeable. I received the mirrors one day ahead of schedule out of the box they are very sturdy and look like OEM Equipment. Fit and finish is very nice. The removal of the old mirrors was quite easy and the installation of the new mirrors was even easier. The plug mated with my factory plug perfectly an installation was a breeze. However, the driver side mirror was wired in Reverse so that up and down was left and right and left and right is up and down I don't have a pin extracting tool so I was unable to repin the plug and I left it as is. I would have given five stars other than that. I still love the mirrors and my experience with etrailer.

Installed these mirrors on a 1999 Ford F350 as part of an upgrade to facilitate pulling a 11,000lb fifth wheel camper.
These mirrors are the exact replicas of the OEM mirrors, both in fit and functionality. After one year of use I have been very pleased! No issues. Etrailer sells quality parts and has exceptional customer service.

Flawless fit. Simple to install. Side views to the rear were vastly improved over factory mirrors. Easily adjusted by original controls.
Biggest improvement is the rear view when pulling a trailer.

These are the cats meow of replacement mirrors. They completely rock over the ford OEM mirrors that have the fixed blind spot mirror. They bolt right up and have the correct electrical plug. Would definitely buy again.
‘Recently bought this 2000 F250. It looked like it had been abused and neglected. On the highway, my wife commented that it sounded like wind was especially loud on her side. The tow-mirror was broken on the side facing front, and the spot mirror was cracked. Duct tape is great in a pinch, but it isn’t the same as being like new.
I checked with the local Ford dealer for the part. They got it in the next day, but they wanted a LOT more for it.
The mirror arrived from etrailer yesterday as promised, and after a couple of online videos, I set out to install it. Took a half hour. Works like new and looks like new. Here is a picture of the duct-taped one.
